NEO U1 - LPCM Passthrough ?

I'd like to ask about LPCM Passthrough on this device, does it work in KODI ?
I heard that format do not work and passthrough LPCM 5.1, 7.1 to Dolby Digital 5.1 which is very weird to me. Why this was not fixed yet ?
