Navigation bar customization & Ethernet/Wifi strangeness

Hello

Is there a way to customize the navigation bar, I would like to remove the file browser's icon from it please? I read on the internet that it wasn't easy, but maybe Minix provides an easy way somehow?

On a side note, I am experiencing a strange issue with a home automation app (I have posted that in the bug section too): it uses broadcast to discover the controller on the network, it works over Wifi but as soon as I switch to Ethernet, the same discovery process won't work, the app...
