Wireless remote

Hello all

Usning this device 'MINIX z83' would a wireless remote be sufficient for example MINIX NEO A2 Lite or would I need a mouse and keyboard?

The device would be mainly used as a media player and some light browsing ect.

HDMI stopped working

Hello!
The other day my X7 mini was a little slow, so I did a reboot. After that, I do not have any HDMI output (TV says "No signal")! :cry:

I tried a different cable and a different screen - still nothing.

I tried flashing the firmware - still nothing.

Since I can flash the firmware it seems lite the device is working, just not the HDMI output? Has someone else encountered this? Any tips?

I'm aware that u1 has been out a fair while now. I read that it comes with android 5.

Now. I'm not talking about custom FW as such but has there been any updates, official or otherwise to go beyond 5? Ie into marshmallow or even beyond..

Being the latest ever box from minix it would be great to learn that it supports later than 5..

WiFi connectivity with SD card

Hi all, wonder if you can help? I have recently installed an external SD card on my Neo X8-H Plus. I tried various formats before settling on FAT32 for the best write speed. Everything seems to be fine (card recognised and mounted at boot) but when writing files to SD card ( e.g. xbmc backup) it disconnects WiFi for no reason? Icon remains illuminated and status reported connected, but it isn't. Have to disconnect and reconnect to get it active again, then all fine til next time I write to SD...

Power button

My minix NEO Z64 with W10, lately can't power on normaly! When I try to power on, I have to keep pressing the on button so it can boot and start normaly!!
Does anybody have the same problem and/or knows how to fix it?

HDMI CEC problem

I have a strange problem with the U1.

I am using a yamaha receiver connected to my tv. The u1, a bluray player and an stb are connected to the receiver.

I have enabled HDMI control and ARC on the TV and receiver.

With the U1 plugged into the receiver using HDMI the receiver does not power on or off when I poer on the TV.

Also if I power on the receiver manually I dont get audio.

I tried unplugging all devices except the TV and receiver and when I did this CEC and ARC worked fine - receiver...

Hi

I have an aging minix X8-H, it must be at least 3 years old now.

This device, together with an a2 lite remote has been superb and has never given me any problems at all.

Generally I just use it for kodi for both streaming and for its SMB connection to my network drive which has approx 600 movies on it.

I understand that, due to its hardware constraints, the firmware can never be upgraded and so, to all intents and purposes it will become obsolete soon, WRT future releases of kodi.

So,...

Kodi 17 beta - no HW acceleration on U1 ?

Hi,

I know that we have on U1 different almost perfect working kodi-versions to use xbmc/kodi on U1.
They all are working well on my device (FW 009A).

Now I tried to install and configurate kodi 17 beta - the main reason was to make some tests with the new inputstream functionality.
But what a big suprise as I realized that the HW-acceleration does not work with kodi 17. Kodi 17 has still the amlcodec-acceleration on board (it is still switchable in the video settings) - mediacodec and...

Z64 windows 10 no sound after update

Hello,
I own a Minix Z64 device with win 10 os, after the last windows update my sound stopped working (It doesnt recognize my LG tv speakers, or the earphones).
i checked and for some reson there arent any sound drivers installed anymore.

what can i do?

hello, I flashed on my minix the finiest bob rom but now I wonna go back to the official firmware. I tried to use usb burning tool but the pc doesn't see the minix. i tried all the usb and several cable. coul'd it be becouse of TWRP? I have no idea on what to do. thank you

Hello,

I'm wondering how do the BIOS options "Wake system with Fixed Time" and "Wake system with Dynamic Time" work on the Minix NGC-1.

The only explanation I found on the internet on similar BIOS options for other motherboards with the same AMI bios were:
  • Wake system with Fixed Time: Enable or disable system wake on alarm event. When enabled, system will wake on the hr:min:sec specified.
  • Wake system with Dynamic Time: Enable or disable system wake on alarm event....

MINIX NEO Z83-4 clock running slow

Hi,

I bought a MINIX Neo Z83-4 system a couple of weeks ago, and I have been very pleased with it. I have a problem that the clock runs very slow. If I reset the time, within 4 hours it has lost 3 hours! (set the correct time at 9am and by 1pm the clock is showing 10am rather than the actual time of 1pm). I have tried everything I can think of, including setting the clock to automatically reset every day, and setting the time zone...

Power led Green instead of Blue?!?

Hello,

it has happened couple of times,

from Minix off:
I tried to turn it on and instead a green light show up and no boot at all, had to remove the power cable and try again.

from Minix on:
I turned off from windows and the light instead of going off it went from blue to green.

no documentation found, any help please?
