Dear All,

I have seen many request for update on Android 5.1 support. Recently i installed Kodi 17 on my laptop and the Kodi estuary skin is amazing and much faster. I tried to get Estuary for Kodi 16 but seems to be buggy with frequent exit while working. Can somebody advise how can i get Android 5.1 installed on minix x8h plus.

I am alright with no supprt for Android 5.1 on minix.. but likes to try it as my minix is mainly used for watching movies and i would like to have latest kodi...

Memory use on the X6 - Launchers

A couple of questions which I suppose apply to all Minix boxes, but I have the Neo X6 and I'd like to ask specific to that unit.

With the Minix Metro interface, there is an "All tasks Killer" button, is this option unique to that launcher? - I look at all the apps that came with the stock machine and I don't see a standalone task killer. So, if I use the alternate stock kitkat launcher I lose the ability of that button. I know I can add from the play store, but it is confusing that Minix do...

As you may have noticed we’ve recently updated the MINIX Launcher – altering the icons and refining the overall design.

We also intend to offer the ability to customize the launcher design – adding some new wallpapers and colour schemes to give you guys more choice, rather than having to use our default green/black theme.

hi to all minix fans

Im having trouble figuring out his of the wifi and i need your help plz

i have another computer whit wifi at home and all connected at same wifi 5g wifi connection my normal computer does a speed test and reachs whit wifi 100mbps easy and when i do whit minix z83-4 same website and all it seens it stall at 44mbps and i dont know why like i allready did the firmware update 1.4 did ofcourse the driver if not would not work but still doesnt seen to pass that speed and help...

Is Amazon a Safe Place to Buy The U9-H?

This might sound like a stupid question but I just want to make sure that Amazon is a safe place to buy the new U9-H normally I buy from the Minix US web store but it doesn't look like it's available yet on the website. I saw it on Amazon earlier this afternoon and I want to make sure that if I buy it from Amazon I will have warranty coverage. Can anyone confirm or deny that it would be safe for me to purchase the new box from Amazon?

Hi,

When I create a mobile hotspot and connect to it, it always crashes the Minix Z83, gives me the stop code: ...e3e.
Any idea how to fix this?

Android vs Apple streaming

One quick question: if I use apple devices I can stream desired youtube video to my television trough minix and Airpin(pro). I can also stream/share complete screen via option "airplay" on apple devices(just select connect). All this is working in background while Minix is running, in other word I don't need to open any additional application on Minix, just on apple devices when I decided for such need.

How can I do the same with android devices? I tested "Miracast" and I can share complete...

MINIX NEO Z83-4 clock running slow

Hi,

I bought a MINIX Neo Z83-4 system a couple of weeks ago, and I have been very pleased with it. I have a problem that the clock runs very slow. If I reset the time, within 4 hours it has lost 3 hours! (set the correct time at 9am and by 1pm the clock is showing 10am rather than the actual time of 1pm). I have tried everything I can think of, including setting the clock to automatically reset every day, and setting the time zone...

Apps button on A3 not working

Just unboxed my U9-H and A3 airmouse remote today. I noticed that the ALL APPS button below the voice button did not work as it does with my A2 lite and U1. I tried re-pairing the A3 to no avail as that feature did not seem to work either. Other ideas ??? TIA

Many posts here with problems or questions on how to update, so here is a little tutorial.

This is for all users having firmware less then 2.1.0, without FOTA capability. e.g fw 006 , 008 or 010.
And users who may be having problems with FOTA updates with firmware 2.1.0 and above, who would like to reflash their device.

OTA: People that run the current Community edition firmware (2.1.0+) will recieve an OTA update online.

Has anyone figure out how to flash a Neo x5 Mini that is having issues downloading the driver for Win 8.1 64 bit? My minix doesn't go further than the splash screen and I've read through many posts, but they are pretty difficult to understand if you aren't very tech savvy. Please help!
