Dear all NEO X8-H PLUS users,
(This beta firmware is NOT for X8, X8 PLUS or X8-H)

We're releasing this release candidate Android Lollipop firmware based on the last SDK released by Amlogic,
because Amlogic have terminated to support this SDK, we have spent lots of time optimizing the firmware by ourselves.

Please note that beta firmware users will not receive future FOTA updates.

Features that we have integrated to this firmware:

How to flash firmware image (X6, X8 series)

Dear all X6, X8/X8-Plus/X8-H/X8-H-Plus users,

To flash the image firmware, you need to:

1.) Download the .img firmware package;
2.) Extract it;
3.) Install the Windows USB flash tool, downloading from:
http://www.minixforum.com/downloads/download.php?file=USB_Burning_Tool_v2.0.6.2.rar
Choose "Install anyway" when system prompts for driver installation, then open the application, and choose English (picture 1 & 2);

About three weeks ago I noticed that both of the Z83-4 units I have did not display the installed SD memory card (SanDisk - Ultra PLUS 64GB microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card) in Windows Explorer. The device status of the “SD Storage Class Controller” that had been connected to the memory card (“Generic SL08F SD Card”) in Windows Device Manager was
“This device cannot start (Code 10)

I would like to install the new Lollipop release for my Minix X8- H PLUS, but I've readen that has several issues with Kodi 17.

So, which is the most stable version of XBMX for my Minix? Could you provide me the link for downloading it?

IR Remote with NEW U9-H not working

Hi, 2 weeks back I have purchased NEO U9-H with A3 mouse. the standard IR remote came with kit is not working however the A3 remote works well. There is no sign of IR remote LED light also.. I have updated the firmware as well in the minix system.. but no luck. Anyone has any suggestion or fix for the issue? thanks Deb.

Minix stuck on Boot won't go to recovery

Hi I hope someone can help me.

My minix just stopped working. It was running the original firmware and I haven't rooted the device.
Now the Minix logo just keeps blinking.

I tried these methods;

Factory reset

But I have a Mac and SDCard reader passthrough doesn't work so I created an USB and I also copied the content of the USB to a fat32 formatted SDCard
This goes to stock recovery...

MINIX Neo U1 unable to display anything on the screen

I have MINIX Neo U1
nothing displayed on the screen
I cant power it off from the power button
It is always hanged

any suggestion
I think it is a hardware problem
is there anyway to hardreset ??

I use a NEO Z83-4 with latest bios 1.6.
When I started the windows 10 assistant to update to the windows creator update,
after a while I received an error code:
0xc1900200


I've been googling it and found a resolution to it.
The first reserved system partition is actually too small and prevents the win update.

The idea is to enlarge it to around 500 MB instead of 100 MB.

There is a free version of a partition tool to make the space:

Dear all U9-H users,

We're pleased to announce the official 006 firmware for NEO U9-H (20170810)

Users with FW005 may update to FW006 simply by our MINIX OTA app.
(OTA update window will be opened in the coming week)

NOTE: Adoptive storage (e.g. TF card) is not supported by our OTA, please remove any of such storages before proceeding.

Here is the change log since FW005:

1.) Fixed MX Player HW decoder bug while streaming from SAMBA

Hi. I'm a long time user of the WDTV Live Hub (media player with built-in HDD) but it needs to be replaced. My research has led me to Android boxes rather than the likes of, say, Dune and I think the Neo U1 would suit me. I realise that I'll never get the exact same experience of a WDTV and so I'd like to confirm the following as regards the Neo U1:

1) From my PC, can I add/remove videos to the USB powered HDD which will be plugged into the U1 (I understand it needs to have SAMBA)?

2) If so,...
