[SOLUTION] SD Card Problem

About three weeks ago I noticed that both of the Z83-4 units I have did not display the installed SD memory card (SanDisk - Ultra PLUS 64GB microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card) in Windows Explorer. The device status of the “SD Storage Class Controller” that had been connected to the memory card (“Generic SL08F SD Card”) in Windows Device Manager was
“This device cannot start (Code 10)
{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.”​

NEO U9-H keeps freezing

Hey all,
I have a new NEO U9-H, but unfortunately my device keeps freezing when my micro SD card is inserted in the TF slot. I usually get a black screen and none of the buttons on my remote work. After a while, I get an error pop-up saying "Minix METRO stopped working. Do you want to close the app?" (see attachment). When this happens the entire box freezes. I can't even turn off the box , so I'm forced to pull the plug.

When I remove the micro SD card, everything works fine. When I use the...

No Micro SD Cards are regonized

Hi,

My Neo do not regonize any microSD card. I tried three of them (8GB, 32GB and 128GB).

In the Device Manager, I have 3 Intel SD Host Controller (why), but all seems to have the actual driver.

Any tipps on how I can get this thing to work?

If I use a card reader with the same card, it recognize the card withough any problem.

How to type a "£" on the NEO K2 touchpad

I've bought my second NEO Z83-4 this time with the NEO K2 touchpad. I live in the UK. At first the keys were not corresponding, but by changing country to English America in settings I managed to overcome that issue, and all keys type as given.
What I can't fathom out though is how I can type a "£" sign on this touchpad... I hunted on line, and tried to find a way but its got me beat.... Can anyone help please

Hello MINIX family!

I am experiencing a rather serious bug with my NEO U9-H. As the video shows, whenever I try to maximize (switch to fullscreen) the video, it freezes. I have to press the back button once to a few times to unfreeze it. Basically I am not able to play fullscreen videos from youtube.com (even embedded ones). Playing videos at the default size is fine. And it's not just Youtube videos. Certain video websites with mature themes ;) seem to have...

Hi All. I picked up a Neo Z-83 a few months back to use as a streaming devise and to familiarize myself with Windows 10 a bit. I've been on Mac's for several years and will likely move back to PC, but wanted to try it out first.

I've been struggling a bit with the computer however. At times it runs very very slow when just surfing the web, like click something and wait 30 seconds for it to respond. Sometimes windows defender stops halfway also. I want to get the most recent OS update before...

Neo U1 Settings Menu not responding

Hi,
I cannot seem to get into my setting menu anymore. Whenever I click on settings the screen just blinks for a split second and nothing happens. The unit also tends to slow down at times for no apparent reason. I restarted the unit a few times to check if that makes a difference. Still no change. The last thing I did was update Kodi to 17.4. Could this have caused the issue? Is anyone else experiencing a similar problem? Also, is there a way to hard reset the unit? I don't want to do this......

Can't connect minix X7 to XP, 8.1 or 10.

My 3 pc's XP, 8.1 and 10 does not recognize minix X7.
I used RK driver tool to install drivers. my xp said install driver is OK but in device manager there is a yellow sign. and minix is not recognized.
The two othere pc's sais the device is not recognized.
Help will be appreciated

Just wanted to share. They work flawlessly with my Kodi build & NEO U9-H. Hope you find them useful ...

I use 5 add-ons from the, often overlooked, Official Kodi Repository:

1) BACKUP in Programs add-ons, 2) Yahoo Weather in Weather,
3) OpenSubtitles.org & 4) Subscene.com in the Subtitles folder, and
5) CU LRC Lyrics in the Lyrics folder.

- Whenever I want to install a fresh Kodi, I use BACKUP before uninstalling Kodi, then I restore using BACKUP after installing a fresh Kodi.
- Yahoo...

New U9 - can't see my HDD nor see U9 on my network

Hi. My U9 arrived yesterday, I connected all the cables AND my 2TB USB HDD then switched on. Everything worked and I could play my videos. Then I updated the FW, as you do with a new device but then there was no sign of my HDD. I did a factory reset and my HDD reappeared. Thinking it was a glitch, I did the update operation again – same story.

I'm currently on the factory settings – MCH19J.20170623. Can anyone suggest why I can't see my HDD after an update?

Also, I have Samba turned on but...

All I've really done since receiving my U9-H, installing Kodi 17.1 and my favourite repos and add-ons is to upgrade the U9-H to FW004A.

Based on another thread on this forum and reading some "other advice" I loaded an advancedsettings.html file to Kodi but I'm not certain if the settings are optimum or even correct.

The settings file I initially loaded were:
<advancedsettings>
<network>
<buffermode> 1 </buffermode>
<readbufferfactor> 8.0 </readbufferfactor>
<cachemembuffersize> 104857600...

I just received my U9-H (to replace Z64A because our 4K TV had trouble adapting to it) and the box is a solid build! I also got the NEO A3 as part of the bundle. Happily plugged the dongle and when I tried to remove it from the virgin USB port, look what happened!

Do U guys think any amount of glue can tighten the cover? If not, I have to pry the dongle from the USB port using my fingernails! I am afraid that if the...

I use a NEO Z83-4 with latest bios 1.6.
When I started the windows 10 assistant to update to the windows creator update,
after a while I received an error code:
0xc1900200


I've been googling it and found a resolution to it.
The first reserved system partition is actually too small and prevents the win update.

The idea is to enlarge it to around 500 MB instead of 100 MB.

There is a free version of a partition tool to make the space:

Hi

i was wondering if anybody have tested MINIX U9-H with external bluetooth input devices

like the Logitech Bluetooth keyboard
Logitech Bluetooth touchpad..

because even the Airmouse is still abit troublesome to use LOL
