Hi. My videos are stored on a Windows computer connected to my home network. The U9-H is connected to the same network. It accesses and plays movies from shared folders via Samba. I have no problems here.

Now, let's say I am done watching a video and Kodi is still on screen. I press the power button on the remote and the U9-H goes to Standby. When I press the same button to wake up the U9-H, Kodi won't play videos anymore. All I see is that blue rotating icon in the middle of the screen.

I used to access my Google pictures and gallery pictures via the "Pick Image" wallpaper feature on my U9.
Can't see them anymore. I'm definitely signed into my Google account and I've synced it so not sure why.

Hi,
Yesterday I noticed an issue with my Minix U9-H. When I played a video online in chrome, There was a green line at the bottom of the screen. I saw that in some of the kodi videos also. To make sure its not the source, I tried the same video on my Tab and it's perfectly fine. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of it?

Hi,

It was a big surprise to find out there is no netflix available app for minix u9 h at google play.

I am having problems with skype on my u9.
Box is on latest software. I have uninstalled skype and re installed latest version on play store.
The problem is that my webcam logitech C 270 (previously used on my U1) seems to be working ok but when I connect to other party on skype it seems to turn my picture off but the sound stay ok off.
I can still see and hear the person I connected to but they cannot see me while still listen to my voice.
I have try to find out solution over these last couple...

Hi,
I cannot seem to get into my setting menu anymore. Whenever I click on settings the screen just blinks for a split second and nothing happens. The unit also tends to slow down at times for no apparent reason. I restarted the unit a few times to check if that makes a difference. Still no change. The last thing I did was update Kodi to 17.4. Could this have caused the issue? Is anyone else experiencing a similar problem? Also, is there a way to hard reset the unit? I don't want to do this......

I got the newest Minix neo box and it won't finish it's update...it keeps spinning. I left it spin once overnight. I even tried resetting the box to factory settings but it won't even do that. Is there some kind of manual reset button or hole that you have to put a safety pin in to get it to reset? Tbanks

Running LibreELEC on my new U9-H off of a USB key as the micro SD card read does not work currently.


Video wise it is perfect and it has played every 1080P and 4K file that I have tried.


The problem is with bitstreaming. Sometimes it works and sometimes all I get is loud digital noise through the speakers. If I stop and start the exact same file it works and sometimes the same digital noise. Doesn’t matter if it is 1080 or 4K. Dolby Atmos or DTS-X. I need the bitstream output to my...

Anyone test the card reader on the new U9-H? Why does minix not publish specify technical details? What is the max read/write speed of that reader. I got my eye on the Samsung pro+ 64gb , but wonder if it's overkill.

Anyone here knows a solution - beside to recompilate the whole firmware - that
the device does not unasked update the firmware? The net blocker app is sadly
not available outside from foogle play as the writer of the software maybe didnt
agreed to add it for users reside outside from Taiwan.

Hi,

I have a Neo X7 running Kodi 16.2 with a portable HD attached via USB.

Is there a way to transfer files from that portable HD to my Laptop/PC which is on the same network?

I have Kodi on my Laptop/PC, and I can access the library and stream videos from the Kodi on my Minix box to the Kodi on my PC, but I'm asking specifically if I can transfer the files, as opposed to just streaming them.

How do you do a factory reset on the box mine has gone totally crazy. It has lost a hard wired connection and will only connect threw wifi.power button doesn't work either and apps are acting up.

After rooted my box and instal Viper4android which got SU permission,i have effects from Viper in the system only( e.g listen music).
Unfortunately Viper dont work in XMBC/KODI...
I think need full permission right from Minix,hope so neccesary fix will release in the next FW05.

Hi,

Had this box since last week (previously had the X8 and U1).

However, compared to the those other boxes (previously had two of each), this U9 has been a nightmare for me! I am so glad this wasn't my first Minix box!

After connecting up, with new HDMI cable (also retried the previous old HDMI cable a few times during this process), via my Onkyo Receiver that is HDMI cabled to my 4K TV - I updated the firmware OTA, about 3 times till it got to latest October firmware.

Hi all,

Like U1, Libreelec V8 is coming with Amlogic S912 support
It's Kodi 17 based and promise smoothness for everything.

It's a early beta version yet with lot of bugs or missing things but will evolve quickly.
