Internet connection issues

View attachment 6187 Having issues connecting to xfinity internet first it was saying something about the adapters but now its saying something about the gateway ...Im new to computers especially one so tiny ...i need help this is so frustrating !! Problem with HDMI switch with auto function

Hi everyone. I've got an old tv with only one HDMI connection so to connect my devices, including my Minix Neo x8-plus, I use an HDMI switch. Recently I changed it with another HDMI switch with auto function, which allow to my HDMI switch to recognize which device is turned on, so I don't have to switch manually by pressing the button on it. And it work perfectly with a tv decoder, ps3 and ps4, but not with minix.

If I have the HDMI cable of the minix into the HDMI switch there's something...

I'd like to avoid a letter from my ISP if I use kodi with some of the better addons. I know a lot of the content is just streaming, but I'm not sure if that type of thing will get a letter the same as downloading a torrent will.

Hello guys!
My box arrived just yesterday, is so nice but my use is so specific and if it can't do it i will trash it...

I've connected 3 external drives to the box, one is for music, one is for movies, one is for HD movies.
Wi-fi is enabled and running well!

In an other room there's my mac i use for rip music/videos. I need to transfer big files by wifi from mac to minix but i really don't know why... airdroid not runs on mac... please help me to solve this matter...

[RESOLVED] Stuck on green power light

I haven't used my box for a few months. Now when I try to turn it on I only get a green light on the box with no display. I have tried unplugging and using the reset button and also opening the box and disconnecting the CMOS battery but it doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated.

I stupidly removed Kodi and unable to find a way to reinstall it. Kodi 17.6 is obviously not compatible

Where can I download it?

I have the latest compatible XBMC but I cannot download from repositorys as the option is not there.

Help me please :)

I've a Synology DS218+, a very good and recent NAS, it allows to share folders on the net choosing the SMB min/max allowed version from v1 to v3.

SMBv1 is notoriously insecure so I've tried to switch the minimum allowed version to SMBv2 instead of SMBv1.

Unfortunately my Minix U1 with latest firmware and latest XBMC 16.3 Beta couldn't anymore access the previously configured network folders so I had to revert the min allowed version to SMBv1 on the NAS.

I've checked the Minix XBMC 16.3...

Users with FW007A may update to FW008 via the MINIX OTA app.
(OTA update window is ready)

Disappearing Apps on Flaky NEO U1

One of my two NEO U1s has always been unstable but not as bad as my horrible NEO U9-H.

One problem with the flaky NEO U1 that I have not mentioned before is disappearing apps.
For no apparent reason, apps like ES File Explorer, Netfix, FilmOn or some other app will be gone and totally uninstalled. I thought at first that the missing apps might not be showing up because they needed updating but that is not the case. Now I think it might be related to the crashes and boot problems.

Tv remote turns on Minix U9 -h

Hey guys,

Ive just realised the "ok" button on my LG tv remote turns my U9 on. It will only turn it on (or wake up) from sleep and has no affect when the box is shut down. Any idea if there is a way to fix this?

ISO through local network

Hi.
I'm thinking to buy an Minix U-9H but I'll mostly use it for playing movies from PC hard drive. I want better quality so the files will be ISO and 4k ones (around 40-60GB).

Would Minix U-9H play them ok ?

I guess it depends mostly on gigabit ethernet.

Is Minix's ethernet able to support that high transfer ?

Unable to update playstore & playservices

Hi, me using z-64 A for last 2 years, no complaint. When i uninstalled the playstore & re-installed.
Youtube asked for update of playservices & everything strated there. I made a factory reset after that not even able to open playstore only white screen appears.

I saw a thread in the same forum, we cannot use android because of the firmware.

I just want to use the basic apps... like chrome & youtube but i am unsuccessfull..

Tried...factory reset & switch off auto update...nthing...

Hi All!

after clean re-install Windows 10 cannot find some drivers - audio and network among them (see screenshot). I could not find any link in Minix page to download drivers from. Does somebody know where to find them? Thank you in advance!
