Minix-X8-H ready for Kodi 16.1/ 17

When is Minix-X8-H ready for Kodi 16.1/ 17?
I receive a failure by Kodi update with message: parsing error....
The download package from Kodi page is complete and correct, but installation is failed with parsing error.
My guess is, the reason is the newest Kodi version is not compatible with Minix (Android 4.4 !!!!!!).

bad quality .iso playback

Hello,

recently i bought a Neo X8-H plus and want to use it to playback .iso files which are stored on a Synology NAS.
I've tried it using the preinstalled XMBC player, but also with KODI version 16. in both cases the image is of bad quality (stuttering playback, horizontal lines, no smooth image). I've tried different settings with hardware accelaration.

My previous media streamer (Xtreamer sidewinder pro) worked perfectly with .iso playback..

any idea what can be the problem?

X8-H Plus nearing end of life?

Is Minix going to end of life the X8-H Plus soon? Once Kodi plugins no longer work for the version of Kodi that its OS can support then I don't see how it is a viable product anymore. Minix is still selling these for a lot of $$$ so I would hope they would be working on an Android OS update to continue to sell a working product at some point. Or will it just be abandoned? I think it would be in their best interests to support it for as long as the hardware is capable of running the latest...

Hi All

Have the U1 after much research to replace my ageing Sigma based media players, and is my first Android based media player. I have had it approximately 2 weeks on the latest firmware and using Minix XBMC 15.3 (tried 16.3 but issues with audio sync).

I have had several teething issues relating to audio passthrough, which already has been well documented on this forum. However, last night, my U1 has randomly dropped audio on the vast majority of my media files. I couldn't get the...

Hi,

I just bought Neo U1. I wonder how do I password protect my device to prevent if someone stolen my Neo U1 then it is not easy for them to open my gmail, etc, and also to protect for the unwanted person to play without my permission.

Netflix hangs

When i download Netflix on playstore it hangs before i can log in. Can i use an older version apk or how can i solve it? Is there a known problem that Netflix wont work With x7 and stock Rom?

I just received my U1 and tried it, which leads me to some confusion :) This thing is really new to me. I've used media player such as Western Digital and Mede8er before, but never tv box with Kodi. So, I know this might be really newbie questions you may laugh at me, but here are my questions:

1. Why is there Kodi and XBMC? My U1 already had Kodi but no XBMC so I installed the Minix XBMC V 16.3.0. And I see that it's just the same as Kodi. Which one should I use? Should I uninstall Kodi and...

YOMVI loggin

Hi, I'm having couple of problems with YOMVI, the first one is every time I switch it off when I switch it on I have to login again. The second one is after around 10-20 min watching it send me out from the video playing to the previous screen. Any way to solve it?

I'm in the Build U1 FW008 20160614 and no ROOT.

my YOUTUBE GOES only @ 360p....:
i've set the screen size @ 1080 and it woks very well but youtube don't support ( onbly in minix) resolution over 360....
how can i resolve it?

Kodi 17 Installations.

Hi Folks,
I have tried installing several different downloads of kodi 17 on my X7 but keep getting the message " there was a problem parsing the package " on both my boxes. I have installed several different versions in the past with no problem. I tried installing KitKat a while ago in case that was the problem, but I have Windows 10 and it won't work.
Anyone got any suggestions ?

As title minix neo x8 nothing displays at all on TV blue light on front is on

I have opened it up & tried shorting pins but nothing there either

Is there anything else I can do? not afraid to get my hands dirty!

Hulu not working - Error Code 995

I just installed Hulu in my brand new Neo U1. Is anyone running into this error with Hulu?

The error appears after commercials and RIGHT before an episode begins to play. Some steps I have taken as recommended by Hulu Support without any luck:

• Clear the Hulu app's cache. (From the home screen, go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All > Hulu > and press Clear cache.)
• Force stop the app. (Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All > Hulu > and press Force Stop)

minix team dont support but I give path to openelec for minix amalogic.
only need your wifi chip and kernel config for minix. may be modifiy for s812 and s802 for minix.
all based same. s806 android device use s812 chip
first find to your android kernel config. that identifiy used all chip for minix x8-h-plus
su
cat /proc/config.gz > /sdcard/config.gz
chmod 777 /sdcard/config.gz
unpack config.gz
later merge your config to armlinux config. add your driver for kernel source. wifi binary fw...

I am looking for a new Andriod TV box to replace my Tronsmart S95 Telos..

I read the posts here quickly and I did not see too many issues with Minix-U1 besides the remote.

Is now the time to buy a box based on the S905 SOC. I read that boxes with S905x are coming out soon. Will Minix bring out Andriod 6 firmware?
