Found Bug Hdmi cec function!

Hi guys,

iam a owner of the brand new u9-h and the A3 remote control.

Iam very happy with it but yesterday i found following Bug:

My minix is set at highest Resolution @50 hz.

Because i use it as Iptv set top box. Europe uses 50hz you surely know guys.

If i turn off Tv. My U9- h goes to standby .Okey everthing works.

Now the problem:

When i turn on the minix with the A3 remote.My tv automatically turns on. The Tv resolution is highest but now @60hz.

This is a little bit...

I have a unit that came with a firmware with build date of Dec 10. It did find an OTA update with build date of Dec. 26, but nothing newer than that. In @robertojorge 's YouTube review, I see that his unit has a firmware with build date of Feb 16. Is that the latest firmware? When will it be made available for download or for OTA update?

Problems adding Mac based SMB Share - Neo U9

Complete newb to these Android boxes but most impressed with the U9 / A3 combo I just bought as a trial for replacing my Apple TVs. Only problem I've had was trying to add an SMB share to Kodi 17 where the share resides on a Mac Mini.

Actually I'm guessing this isn't really related to Minix or the U9 at all, rather it's down to Kodi or, more specifically, Apple and their their lame and outdated support for SMB sharing. Just posting here in case it helps anyone else having the same problems...

Slow Time with Bios 1.4 - Where do I download Bios 1.6 Beta?

For the past few weeks, the time on one of my z83-4s is running insanely slow. It looks like updating the bios is supposed to be the answer. I have looked, but have not been able to find where to download 1.6 beta. If you know, would you share the location?

This might sound like a stupid question but I just want to make sure that Amazon is a safe place to buy the new U9-H normally I buy from the Minix US web store but it doesn't look like it's available yet on the website. I saw it on Amazon earlier this afternoon and I want to make sure that if I buy it from Amazon I will have warranty coverage. Can anyone confirm or deny that it would be safe for me to purchase the new box from Amazon?

Can this device stream 1080p60fps youtube videos?

Hi, I was thinking of getting the minix u9-h to replace my aging x8-h PLUS and was wondering if it could stream
1080p content at 60 fps on the youtube app. On my X8- PLUS, when I select the 1080p@60 quality setting on
a video from the youtube app, the video freezes on a single frame while the audio continues playing. The progress
bar/counter continues to advance but only audio plays back. I'd like to know if any minix u9-h owners can confirm if this also happens on the newer unit or it it can...

how to disable 1080/24p ?

Hello,

I've got the following problem on my Minix U1.

whenever I play a movie on my TV, it starts displaying at 1080/24p, goes for 2-3 seconds, the screen switch to black for 1-2 seconds, displays movies again in 1080/24p, and so on.

I had the same problem on my PS4 when watching blu-rays, deactivating the 1080/24p playback on the ps4 solved the problem.

I looked in xbmc settings but did not find where I could disable this.

any ideas how to do this ?

I already ordered the U1 before I realized it doesn't support Netflix in HD. I'm considering getting the newest Fire tv instead for this reason alone. I won't even consider watching SD Netflix on a huge tv. How inconvenient do you guys find not having HD Netflix?

I already have a smart tv and PS4 so it's not like i don't have access to Netflix HD, but it really would have been nice to have it all in one box. Especially one that's rather pricey. Another thought is that once using KODI I may...

Bootloop / freezes

Hello,

I have many problems with the U1.
I can't use another launcher then the standard green launcher from the Minix.
Other launchers wont set the Minix into sleep mode, and many times freezes right away after startup.
When i use 2 or 3 usb hard drives, were i have different movies on, the Minix can't go in sleep mode, i have to shut it down.
When i then start the Minix it stay's into bootloop, i only can stop it by unplug the power.
When i turn on the Minix, and do nothing for a few minutes,...

I just purchased the Neo U1 and have Firmware 012 loaded. I like the box but I have a problem which is the long press on my TV remote does not bring up the drop down options in KODI. It appears that the NEO just recognizes the button press as a one pulse as opposed to a long press. For example if you have highlighted a movie in kodi, usually holding the OK button should bring up the option list that lets you add to favorites etc. but with the NEO it simply selects and starts the movie. I have upgraded with the neo U1 from a previous android box. My set is optoma projector via Hdmi and AVR Marantz receiver connected via headphone socket. All worked perfectly with 2 different previous boxes. With Neo U1 no sound as it doesn't recognize the 3,5 jack with mic plug. Tested with normal headphones the sound gets through. As the insalled wiring is in the wall and 20 m long, I would prefer an app or firmware based solution so I can force sound on the jack and recognize the 3...

Arte.tv no longer plays on XMBC

I believe that this started when I updated Android. It is now at Version 5.1.1.
Other Video add-ons like Euronews, play well.
XBMC not changed. It is at version 16.3-0 Git 2016-04 Compiled Jun 4 16.
An Error message appears "Check the log". When I do it is empty.
