how to disable 1080/24p ?
Hello,
I've got the following problem on my Minix U1.
whenever I play a movie on my TV, it starts displaying at 1080/24p, goes for 2-3 seconds, the screen switch to black for 1-2 seconds, displays movies again in 1080/24p, and so on.
I had the same problem on my PS4 when watching blu-rays, deactivating the 1080/24p playback on the ps4 solved the problem.
I looked in xbmc settings but did not find where I could disable this.
any ideas how to do this ?

SMB Network Speed
Hi everyone.
I'm thinking about ordering a U9-H and returning a WeTek Hub I've just ordered as this looks a decent upgrade and more future proof.
In reading some reviews, there appears to be an AmLogic issue with network speeds over WiFi (mainly) but also over Ethernet when accessing SMB or NFS shares.
Do people have experience of this causing local streaming issues and is there a plan to address the issue going forwards?
I think this is the only thing stopping me from ordering! That...

I've been using chromecast for a few years. Recently learned of this product. I have to say I'm very interested.
My question is: wich model would best suit my needs? I would only be using it to watch movies through chrome, or live sports through kodi. Rarely for gaming. Thanks in advance for any helpful advise.

Support response times
I have a U1 that seems to have died and I am waiting for Support response from email to support minix US. It is under warranty but was wondering what the response times are. If I recall I think I saw 24 hours but was wondering if anyone here had some experience to share.

Video Playback Stutter.
I just purchast a Minix Neo U1. Any idea why video playback stutters in almost every app(showbox, XBMC, YouTube, etc)
I was using a cheap MXQ Pro and it worked better than this box.
I do have the latest firmware.

Weird network issue
Hi community,
I have a weird network issue with my Neo Z64w.
When I leave the Minix up and running for the night and kodi is running too, the next day I find that the network loses it's Internet connection (yellow sign on the network icon).
the only way to resolve is to disconnect the cable then reconnect it.
I tried to update the driver and it didn't help.
Next I attached Ethernet-to-USB adapter and it occurs on it too!
I have updated all latest BIOS and OS updates to no avail.

Neo Z64 Windows 10 crash every day
Hello
I bought the Minix Neo z64, for use as server for my Weatherstation.
But i'm totally unsatisfied with it, it crashed every day when i run it for 24/7 so i have to force a shutdown by a batch file every 6 hours. To prevent that the PC is running out of virtual memory, why it runs out of virtual memory when i have 4.5GB of it?
The same errorlog as before with 704MB. And yes i restarted it after the changes!
The developer of the weather station software found out that the problem is not...

Hi I'm a newbie to Kodi and have just bought a preloaded U1 . I notice its using 16.3 just now and I wondered if I update to 17 would I lose everything that I have at the moment? If that's the case I won't bother. Also can I get the Estuary skin for 16.3? Must admit to being technologically challenged lol.

i can't seem to find any real working guide for intalling ubuntu or lubuntu, or a custom android > 4 rom for the neo x6, which is a problem for the android 4 is old, and does not fit new software,
anyone has directions to where i'll find some linux based light distro to fit it, and or light android rom newer than the 4 kitkat?

Controling my MINIX U1 from a PC
Hi ,
I am trying to control my Minix U1 from my PC using TeamViewer with ni success.
when running TeamViewer I get no TemViewerId .
I am able to do this on my Minix Neo X8-H Plus (also using TemViewer Host ). Is there a configuration that was changed in U1?

2. Copy .zip to sdcard drive (fat32 filesystem)
3. Unplug X6 to make sure it is completely switched off
4. Replug it and attach sdcard drive
5. Press and hold reset-button using e.g. a toothpick
6. Press and hold power-button, keep reset-button pressed
7. Wait until 1-2 minutes auto opening openelec

New Z83-4 Intermittently losing HDMI signal
I have a new Z83-4 connected to a new Asus VS248HR monitor.
I have updated to the 1.4 bios on the Z83-4 as per forum recommendation and installed all windows updates.
The monitor is standard settings out of the box.
Intermittently, the screen goes blank for a few seconds and then returns. The "HDMI" source notification comes up on the top left as if the device is losing connection and reconnecting again.
I have rebooted my Z83-4 and replaced the HDMI cable but it's still happening. There...

I would very much like to open a thread "DVB-t2/Free TV" - while in Germany the "old" Free-TV as we now it will be shut down very soon, once again all crappy surrogate technology goes in the bin and that will be the point when everybody with an urge to use simple infrastructure and/or somewhat older technology without built-in dvb-t2-recievers will feel the need to buy a new box!
