Windows 10 Creators update

Windows Update Assistant fails with error 0xC1900200
I think the problem is that there must be at least 20GB free on C drive -- I have about 15GB free.
Also Media Creation Tool created USB flash drive says that not enough space in System Reserved partition. Mine is 64MB, and I think I need to expand to 450MB.,

Dear all NEO Z83-4 users,

Here is the official V1.6 BIOS for Z83-4:

Change log since V1.4 BIOS:
1.) Updated Intel TXE firmware;
2.) Modified audio codec source code for Windows 10 OS;
3.) Disabled UEFI PXE boot option (since PXE boot doesn't support booting from eMMC storage);
4.) Enabled TPM 2.0 support;
5.) Improved CPU performances;

Update procedures:
1.) Download the V1.6 BIOS zip package...

Neo Z83-4 power problem

It has been two months since I had the z83. We have 29 of such units. It is not powering On at all. The power adapter is good and in working condition. Also tried another power adapter from other units but no luck.
Is this a common problem.
Should I send it back to Minix for replacement ? What is the procedure for warranty replacement.
Any suggestions

Stuttering on Kodi 17.1

Basically I bought this thing yesterday and everything appears to be ok except for the stuttering playing videos from my WD My Cloud. Not all videos suffer from this but the 480p ones (ex: my old X-Files collection) are clearly affected. A quick search led me to the possibility of this being due to the framerate adjustment. Everything else on this box, playback wise (exodus, phoenix, netflix) works ok. My previous bedroom box was the beelink minimx III and had no such issue with my WD My Cloud...

Good day

I currently own an MINIX NEO-X8-PLUS.

Now that Kodi 17 has been launched, and from what i read on the forums i'm assuming this box is close to end of life.

I'm currently looking at Upgrading to a newer box but there are so many to choose from, I'm looking for a future proof box at least be able to use it for the next 4 to 5 years.

To me Minix offers some of the best Android Boxes out there hence asking the question on this forum

Question about the headphone jack

Hi, can you watch videos via HDMI and listen to the audio through the headphone jack rather than the TV? This would be great for me so I wouldn't have to listen to the Power Ranger's theme song when my son is watching videos.

Also, I was wondering if I could use the Minix U1 like an advanced mp3 player. Is it possible to select a directory of mp3s for playback then turn off the tv/monitor and listen to them with a pair of headphones plugged into the headphone jack ?

U9 locked out of apps in restricted mode

got a call today from someone who setup restrictions on the U9. He said he went into settings and set a password of 0000 and proceeded to restrict and allow permissions to certain apps, etc.
He told me now he is in some sort of restricted limited mode, where many apps are missing and does not know how to get back to full mode. I saw where he must have gone, but don't want to dig further on my personal U9. Does anyone know the procedure to get to where the password gets entered and restrictions...

We are going to release the official 012 firmware for NEO U1: FW012 (20170227).

Users with FW011 may directly update to FW012 by OTA update.
(via MINIX OTA app).

Change log since FW011:
1. Fixed power button long press bug
2. Fixed Daydream sleep option bug
3. Updated Android security patches
4. Fixed USB web camera image is reversed problem
5. Fixed an Ethernet bug during system startup
6. Fixed a .avi playback bug found on FW011

Will the Z64-A receive a Lollipop update

After talking with John I can let you all know that unfortunately the answer is no.

It is for the same reason as the X8, X8 Plus and X8-H.
Intel like AMLogic with the X8s do not support newer firmware revisions so it is technically impossible for MINIX to update it to lollipop and beyond.

You may notice that the Z83-4 did not release with Android, there are a couple reasons for that. Intel has dropped it's support for Android altogether and the Z64-A was not a very big seller for MINIX.

IR Codes / Pronto Codes for the U9-H

Hi...

Does anyone have a list of IR codes for the U9-H? I've found that the codes I have for the Neo x8-h plus work on the U9-H, which is great, but I only have a small number of codes. I don't have any play,pause,stop, etc. codes for example...

I'd love to have a backup remote for this device on my phone, but for it to be fully functional I'd like to have more codes.

minix team dont support but I give path to openelec for minix amalogic.
only need your wifi chip and kernel config for minix. may be modifiy for s812 and s802 for minix.
all based same. s806 android device use s812 chip
first find to your android kernel config. that identifiy used all chip for minix x8-h-plus
su
cat /proc/config.gz > /sdcard/config.gz
chmod 777 /sdcard/config.gz
unpack config.gz
later merge your config to armlinux config. add your driver for kernel source. wifi binary fw...

HBO Nordic not working

Hi, anyone having trouble with HBO on x8h? On my U1 HBO works as good/bad as the x8h used to, but is watchable. Once the jitter stops a few minutes in. But now the x8h gives a message that the service may be down, tho it works on the U1.. The only difference between those boxes are the x8h is rooted and on Wi-Fi while the U1 is non root on Ethernet connection? I've tried hide root applications from play store without luck! But I'm not sure it is root that's causing this because shuldent it...
