Update Not Happenning

Hi,

I have the Neo-X8H-Plus and am stuck on Android4.4.2 with Kernel Version 3.10.33 and build number KOT49H.20161222.

Whenever I check on the OTA it always states that I am up to date

Is there going to an update to Android 5? I have seen on the forum that there is an update but I cannot seem to get it OTA.

I cannot update to Kodi Krypton as it needs Android 5.

Please can some one advise.

SOLVED - Samba Share Not Working

I recently updated my box to the latest firmware that includes the built-in samba server. When I go into the settings to enable the feature I cannot see my box on my Windows machine. I have network discovery enabled and my box has never been previously rooted in any way. Can anyone help me get this working?

Z83-4 Windows 10 drivers

Hi All!

after clean re-install Windows 10 cannot find some drivers - audio and network among them (see screenshot). I could not find any link in Minix page to download drivers from. Does somebody know where to find them? Thank you in advance!

I bought this little unit yesterday (after being satisfied to one of the android box H8 or something) to the delight that I could find a good use to my old apple cinema display with its 2K output resolution.

However, after I went to lunch today- came back and saw that the wifi is missing (although was working fine and I was able to download and install office365) .

I have seen many people suggesting that the wifi is broken and points to various ways to fix it. I tried downloading broadcom,...

Problem with audio passthrough since recent update

Hello,

Really enjoying my U1. Audio passthrough for 7.1 worked great until I just updated to U1 MY47V.20170227. All stereo videos play well in XBMC 16.3 with good sound. 5.1 and 7.1 video plays well in XBMC 16.3 except sometimes sound is muted. It appears to happen always with .mkv files but some MP3 files will work intermittently. At times the MP3 files will play then make an awful screeching sound.

Anyone have the same experience? Anyone have any advice?

Help with meo u1 and external APKs

I appreciate any advice here.
I have 2 devices at home, the Neo u1 with the latest firmware FW012 and the other is low cost device mxq pro+ (another Amlogic S905 2G/16G device).
I have installed 2 external APKs (Terrarium TV and OneBox HD) on both devices.
I put both devices side by side, same distance from wifi modem connected to the same TV.
When viewing any movie on either APK's on the mxq pro+ the movie starts in less than 2 seconds.
When trying to view the same movie or any other movie...

Hi Folks just returned to minix and purchased a Neo U1, nice thing and all working...........except for blutooth headphones which connect and pair but I get no sound..............is there a way to resolve this as I really need the headphones..........can a dongle for bluetooth be put in a usb and get it to work....appreciate any help or guidance here as I cant find an answer

LAN doesnt work after wake up from sleep

Hi,

I got my U9-H recently and I find that after it wakes up from sleep, the LAN connection works for about 5 minutes and then nothing happens. I have to go settings then toggle the ethernet switch on - off - on then it works again.

Is there a problem with the minix or my router?

How to get NEO X6 to boot to only one application

Is it possible to run only one application with this box and to get it to start this application every boot up.

I bought a second hand one of these and gave it to an elderly family member and setup Kodi along with the best stand alone applications and the Slingbox application which allows her to share my Bell Fibe TV Package at her home across the city. She was overwhelmed and does not have the patience to learn to do even the simplest tasks.

She is not interested in anything else, just...

I am getting smaller display at the top left corner after recent software update.
I have replaced with two new good quality HDMI cables with no joy,I have minix X8 H plus which has been tested with the same HDMI cable and it was ok but my new minix U9H display on LG TV showing a smaller display at the left top corner after recent software update which automatically downloaded. I did not have any SD card or hard drive attached during update.
The only fix is to reboot the box and leave my TV on...

Minix Neo U1 will not sleep at all.

Hello
I have had zero issues with my own u1 so I purchased one for my girlfriend and set it up the same as my own , but hers refuses to sleep , it will not go into standby for a second .
I have run the app kill to see if that would help , as it helped mine in the past but that isn't working on hers . The only thing I can think of is that because her tv didn't have enough hdmi sockets we had to purchase a powered hdmi switcher and plug the minix into that .
Is there anything i can try...

Minix Neo U1 will not sleep at all.
