Minix Neo U1 will not sleep at all.

Hello
I have had zero issues with my own u1 so I purchased one for my girlfriend and set it up the same as my own , but hers refuses to sleep , it will not go into standby for a second .
I have run the app kill to see if that would help , as it helped mine in the past but that isn't working on hers . The only thing I can think of is that because her tv didn't have enough hdmi sockets we had to purchase a powered hdmi switcher and plug the minix into that .
Is there anything i can try...

My audio freaks out seemingly randomly (analog disapears or HDMI gets choppy)

I use both HDMI audio and the analog headphone jack. I have a home automation app set to use the analog audio outputs, to computer speakers, so I can hear the lady's voice even if the TV and Receiver are off.

Every once in a while, 1 of two things happen. Either my analog output disappears, or my HDMI audio gets choppy...almost slo-mo like even though the video plays in full speed and the audio keeps up. It's like it's playing 1/2 of the audio segments, at 1/2 speed, so that's why it stays...

A simple hack to enable all available Wi-Fi channels

Dear all Z83-4 users,

By default, Broadcom has hidden some of the available Wi-Fi channels,
by replacing the nvram file attached in this thread, it will unlock them and make them all available for use.

To do so, download the attached 4356r6nvram,txt file,
then put it to C:\Windows\System32\drivers

Replace the file in the destination, restart the system, done.

This will enable:
2.4GHz channels: 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/10/11/12/13
5GHz channels:...

Dear all X6, X8/X8-Plus/X8-H/X8-H-Plus users,

To flash the image firmware, you need to:

1.) Download the .img firmware package;
2.) Extract it;
3.) Install the Windows USB flash tool, downloading from:
http://minix.com.hk/downfile/USB_Burning_Tool_v2.0.4.3_user.rar
Choose "Install anyway" when system prompts for driver installation, then open the application, and choose English (picture 1 & 2);

After FW005 Audio dropout on all my movies with Dolby Digital

Hi,

I am connecting my Minix U9-H to Onkyo AMP, and after I update to the latest firmware 005 and reinstall Kodi 17.3 I start noticing audio dropout on all my movies with Dolby Digital and the HD Audio also !!!

I didn't face this problem in the previous firmware, Its just start now, so any suggestion or advice PLZ?

U9-H uncertified Play store

Hello,

I have reset many times by pressing power button 6s + wipe cache + wipe datas + reboot system
or by reset option in paramters / storage / reset factory ...

but my version is still MHC19J.20170623...and in google play store my device is uncertified

Netflix does not update...

what's wrong ? somebody help me please ?

Minix u1 Marshmallow

Well the u1 be upgraded to 6.0 marshmellow. One feature i like is the ability to make your sd card the main install. I know you can move some stuff using appmnger 3, but this doesnt work with everything and you can still have traces (data) left behind. This can fill up the small internal drive quickly. An internal drive could be 4gig if the unit has the ability to change the main drive to sd. Sd cards are very inexpensive and fast. I have a 64 gig sd card in mine but i cant transfer everything....

smaller disply at the top left after recent fw005 software update

I am getting smaller display at the top left corner after recent software update.
I have replaced with two new good quality HDMI cables with no joy,I have minix X8 H plus which has been tested with the same HDMI cable and it was ok but my new minix U9H display on LG TV showing a smaller display at the left top corner after recent software update which automatically downloaded. I did not have any SD card or hard drive attached during update.
The only fix is to reboot the box and leave my TV on...

NEO U9-H & Plex app

Plex video playback quality is poor on my U9-H compared to my Roku 3, which is excellent. Mp4's are jittery & not smooth. (btw, Kodi 17.3 video playback with U9-H is very good). Tired of changing Plex app settings. Nothing helps.
  • Firmware is current FW004 (cannot update to FW005 - made separate post for that issue).
  • Plex app installed from Google Play Store.
  • Plex message says "Transcode reason: Unable to Direct Play as H264 is not supported on this device."
  • I have Android...

Having lobotomized my minix x8-H Plus trying to flash it. I purchased a U9-H but having powered it up today the pointer just whizzes right, through the opening menu constantly.
At first I thought it was the remote but I jave tried several and even no remotes but it just continues to scroll right.

Am I sending this back ???
