Neo X8 Plus suddenly stuck on start up screen

My Neo X8 plus suddenly stuck on start screen.
I have done many restarts with and without the recovery buttom pressed.
The start up screen (Green Minix logo) stays for a couple of seconds on and then turns to black screen.
I have tried again with the USB plugged with the latest software ZIP file in and again the same description as above.
Please Help. I have no warranty for the unit.
I have not made any updates from the time it was purchased in 2015.

4K + HD Audio

Hey guys!
So I'll begin saying that 1080p or lower works perfectly and I can passthrough DTS-HD MA and the like just fine. However, I'm having trouble getting sound to work with 4K files that have HD Audio, my AVR just shows stereo and there is no sound output at ALL :( other 4K files, even ones with HDR, that have Non-HD Audio like DTS or DD work perfectly fine too. I've tried every setting I can think of, but with no luck. Is this a hardware limitation perhaps? I'm wanting to buy a 4k...

HBO problems after updating

Hi, after updating to lastest firmware on my minix i get this error message each time i try to watch any movie in the app: error A problem has occurred and the service may be temporarily unavailable.

Now this is frustrating cause it seemed it wasnt enough to factory reset the minix, cause then the last firmware was still there of course, so i was at the same point.

Does anyone know to solve this? Hbo only says it should support minix since the Android version is high enough.

Load Windows 7?

I have software that keeps causing my Z83-4 (running Windows 10) to crash. Yes. I have caused Windows 10 to actually "Blue Screen".

I have tried to boot off of an external drive to be able to load Windows 7, but I don't see an option to boot from a different device. Has anyone else tried this? I need to be able to downgrade to Windows 7. I realize that there will probably be device driver issues too.

Any suggestions?

I've bought NEO U9-H a few days ago, and it freezing and very laggy and some games after some time freeze and all Device Stooped working and not any Key Working
How that and it Have 2GB RAM ??
I am annoying for that
any Advice to Solve this Problem ??

I live in Israel and i am using streaming TV application from local provider (the link to application: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cellcom.cellcomtv). Now when I am trying to enter, I see hello screen with user name/password and checkbox I have to check (hebrew text says that I am agree with service terms and conditions). The problem is that I can enter user name/password, but there is no way to check this checkbox (i have Minix remote, and i tried wired...

Hi, I have just bought the neo x8-h plus but have no idea how to use it!! I am trying to download Kodi but it keeps saying there was a problem parsing the package???

Do I need Kodi?? Can I just use XBMC?

I also tried to add on Exodus but it says it is incompatible???

Can anyone help please?

Hey guys, i hope you can help me out with a problem.

My IPTV source added some 1080 channels which never existed before, and when i try to play those i just get a black screen with sound.

I tried the exact same thing using Kodi in my Nexus 6 and it works flawlessly there, but not using my U9.

Can you help me troubleshoot this please?

How do we change the subtitle font size in Movie Player app ?

I tried loading a couple of movies on the default Movie Player that comes with the Minix firmware. Everything went well except that the subtitle font size is too small. It doesn't seem possible to change the size because all other options beside turning the subtitle off are greyed out. Does it require magic to change the font size or what?

After a lot of requests i made a modified version of SPMC 16.x
Passtrough works for X5 and X7 series.
*Tested on the Forum Kitklat CE firmwares.

Please note that we will not maintain it as a bugfix version.
This will not replace the "XBMC for MINIX" !
You get what it is.
When a newer version comes out we will do our best to make make it work again.

After FW005 Audio dropout on all my movies with Dolby Digital

Hi,

I am connecting my Minix U9-H to Onkyo AMP, and after I update to the latest firmware 005 and reinstall Kodi 17.3 I start noticing audio dropout on all my movies with Dolby Digital and the HD Audio also !!!

I didn't face this problem in the previous firmware, Its just start now, so any suggestion or advice PLZ?

Minix a3 remote buggy

Hi i just bought my Minix neo U9-H and the Minix neo a3 mouse that came with it but the scrolling on the a3 mouse doesn't work properly.

When i press the air mouse activation button, then press the Ok button(the android icon on remote) and then try to move the remote up in the air, it then highlights text instead of scrolling up and down

My old Minix Neo X8-H Plus with the neo a2 lite remote never had this problem. it would scroll up and down unlike the A3 remote

Neo U9-H Dolby license advantage

Hi.
I am using NEO U1 and I was thinking about buying the U9-H considering that sometimes I have problems with the 5.1 sound in some types of video and I can only play 5.1 using Kodi Passthrough.

My question is, with NEO U9-H, will I be able to play 5.1 using MX Player or any other app, considering the Dolby license?

We're releasing this beta Android Lollipop firmware based on the last SDK released by Amlogic,
because Amlogic have terminated to support this SDK, we have spent lots of time optimizing the firmware by ourselves.
