How to flash firmware image (X6, X8 series)

Dear all X6, X8/X8-Plus/X8-H/X8-H-Plus users,

To flash the image firmware, you need to:

1.) Download the .img firmware package;
2.) Extract it;
3.) Install the Windows USB flash tool, downloading from:
http://www.minixforum.com/downloads/download.php?file=USB_Burning_Tool_v2.0.6.2.rar
Choose "Install anyway" when system prompts for driver installation, then open the application, and choose English (picture 1 & 2);

NEO A3 Air Mouse issues

I have had my U9-h for about a 2 weeks now. I like everything about it but this NEO A3 airmouse is a hassle.

Whenever I use any function of the air mouse or keyboard, the 3rd (right most of the 3) LED lights on the top, flashes and will not stop flashing. This is the LED with the small musical note icon right below it.

Because that LED flashes non stop, even when the Minix is powered down, it drains the batteries and the keyboard/mouse is dead the next day when I go to use it.

Xbox 360 Wireless Controller

Has anyone been able to get the Xbox controller working on the U9-H. Each time I plug in the wireless adaptor, the box immediately shuts down. I didn't have this issue on my older X7

Z83-4 black screen won't boot up

Today My Z83 seems to have stopped working. When I went to turn it on today...nothing!
When I power it on the green LED light comes on but doesn't seem to boot up, just black screen, no minix logo, nothing.
Tried pressing the rest button with a pin for 5sec. Nothing, green light stays solid green.
- The windows 10 fast boot feature has always been disabled.
- Any kind of sleep mode features have always been set to disabled.
- Tried unplugging and plug back in the HDMI cable.
- Tried unplugging...

Users with FW004A may update to FW005 simply by our MINIX OTA app.
(OTA update window will be opened in the coming week)

Need help deciding which Minix Box to buy.

Hello everyone,

First of all, if I posted this in inappropriate part of the forum, I apologize to moderators in advance.

Now to the questions. I see that Minix has a great community, and as a first time Android Tv Box buyer, I did quite some research to decide which Box do I really need. Minix seems to be a bang for the buck. After reading a lot about different models, I was going to buy a NEO X8H Plus, but then I realized that this model was a little bit older than the other ones available....

Need help deciding which Minix Box to buy.

I use a NEO Z83-4 with latest bios 1.6.
When I started the windows 10 assistant to update to the windows creator update,
after a while I received an error code:
0xc1900200


I've been googling it and found a resolution to it.
The first reserved system partition is actually too small and prevents the win update.

The idea is to enlarge it to around 500 MB instead of 100 MB.

There is a free version of a partition tool to make the space:

Stuck on logo screen

I have a mini neo x7 which now won't load just cycles through the logo stream. I read online I can download new firmware here. I don't see them here. Any help getting my x7 working again would be greatly appreciated.

My audio freaks out seemingly randomly (analog disapears or HDMI gets choppy)

I use both HDMI audio and the analog headphone jack. I have a home automation app set to use the analog audio outputs, to computer speakers, so I can hear the lady's voice even if the TV and Receiver are off.

Every once in a while, 1 of two things happen. Either my analog output disappears, or my HDMI audio gets choppy...almost slo-mo like even though the video plays in full speed and the audio keeps up. It's like it's playing 1/2 of the audio segments, at 1/2 speed, so that's why it stays...

Like U1, Libreelec V8 is coming with Amlogic S912 support (y)
It's Kodi 17 based and promise smoothness for everything.

It's a early beta version yet with lot of bugs or missing things but will evolve quickly.

Green screen when turned on

hoping for some help here. We have had our U9-H since April with no issues.

Today we go to turn it on and it loads to a completely green screen. But the sounds work.

When unplugged the minix load logo will first appear before it goes green screen.

I've tried different inputs and HDMI cables same issue.

Sound does work though.

Any thoughts?

DirecTV Now app not working after FW004A update

DirecTV Now app worked fine for the first few days I had the U9-H box (running default firmware). I updated the firmware using the OTA updater to version FW004A recently and DirecTV Now app does not work after the update. It is frustrating to know something that worked fine doesn't work anymore. I get an error that says 'find out if your devices are compatible, search 'Devices' i the Help Center. (Ref.#1005)'. Has anyone experienced the same or know a solution?

I don't know if this is a bug on...

Minix a3 remote buggy

Hi i just bought my Minix neo U9-H and the Minix neo a3 mouse that came with it but the scrolling on the a3 mouse doesn't work properly.

When i press the air mouse activation button, then press the Ok button(the android icon on remote) and then try to move the remote up in the air, it then highlights text instead of scrolling up and down

My old Minix Neo X8-H Plus with the neo a2 lite remote never had this problem. it would scroll up and down unlike the A3 remote
