U-1 toast...fried..nada....

So I'm watching tv....then all of a sudden "Signal Lost" appears...I look over and the bright blue light is very dim..can hardly tell its even on...Then I smell smoke briefly, and so I unplug it....plug it back in...Nothing...UH=1 Fried!...and its only like 3-4 months old...Thanks Minix

Anyone else have issues like this before? I had the latest firmware installed, and nothing out of the ordinary...just normal Television viewing.

YouTube Mirroring Not Working on iOS

Dear team,

I have newly purchased the Neo U9 H.
And I’m having a problem with using my iPhone YouTube TV projection. The moment I click the Minix projection on TV using YouTube, my TV doesn’t display the YouTube vdos using Airpin Pro. I tried changing Airpin Pro settings on Minix for projection using iphone, but no luck. I even upgraded Minix firmware, did factory reset, but still no luck.

Please provide some solution. When I say projection it is nothing but opening YouTube and clicking the...

I am new with A3 and U9-H, but coming from X8-H and A2, so I can compare and know how they work.
The thing is that I can scroll up and down with the arrow in menus such as google play store (list of applications) or app drawer. I can do it.

But inside a browser (I tried several) I cannot do it. I have to use the up and down button arround the centered android button to scroll, and it is quite annoying.

If I type a search in google search widget (not with a browser), I can see the results but...

Fried yet another Neo X7

I did it again! For the second time, I've mistakenly applied 12 volts and fried my second X7 box, just in the same way as I have done with my first. What amazes me is how would something with so much good thought put into it not have a simple overvoltage protection circuit! Is it intentional?

STUPID MISTAKE - Wrong AC Adapter into Neo X7

Hi everyone, I think I made a silly mistake yesterday. Without getting into the long details of the back story, I plugged the wrong AC wall adapter into my Minix Neo X7. The proper adapter is 5v 3A, and I plugged in an adapter from another device that was 12v 2.0A. Now my X7 won't turn on! No light, no signal, nothing. Did I permanently destroy this unit?

I took it apart (pulled the case apart) and noticed a hardwired fuse (I think) with markings SF 3.15A right beside the 5v input plug for the...

A3 - 2 issues

1. Calibration of air mouse: pressed Fn and Y, simultaneously, then set remote on a flat surface. Status LED lights, but never flashes 4 times as indicated in the directions.

2. Microphone: when I press mix button, Status LED lights, but never the microphone (musical note icon) LED.

IS MY A3 REMOTE DEFECTIVE?

And by Best, I mean is it an authorized seller eligible for warranty and what not? The link says sold directly by MINIX so I assume it's the best seller to guarantee I get an authentic MINIX and not a knock off.

Hi! I just bought a new Minix Neo U9-H (my first android box) like a week ago.
I start the device, conect on wi-fi and my google account and then run OTA update from apps list.
Problem is: sometimes, when i play youtube or kodi movies (local from USB stick/FAT32), screen went green. When i press back button, apps gui show like no problem. Only video playback is green. I try forcing the RGB screen space and no result. All i can do is to restart the device and everything plays fine...for a...

I have a spare X8H Plus and would like to get Linux installed on it, if at all possible. In my use-case, I would install pi-hole, media wiki, and either openHAB or Home-Assistant.


If anyone could point me in the right direction to do this, I'd really appreciate it.

U9 remote app for android phone??

Been trying to determine if there is an a remote app for the U-9. I have searched through the forums and found a remote for the U1 will this work as well ?? Fairly new to these boxes so I'm learning and sorry if this a dumb question but how do I install it on my phone ?? I downloaded the app for the U1 that I found somewhere in the forums but it wont install?? I even tried downloading from my phone, the file is in my downloads folder and if I tap it, it says cant open file??...

Eurosport Player still not working...

Hi all !
I have read other threads in this forum and came to a conclusion that Eurosport player should work. But I still got the message " service not available in this country" after a while starting Eurosport player. I am in Finland (and country settings are Finnish) and I have upgraded U1 by OTA and even made reflash to the latest release 20170629 but no success. Any ideas or is this still a bug ?

Hey Guys

on fw005 drm-info showed me support for Microsoft Playready DRM.
I updatet to fw006 and now Microsoft Playready DRM seems to be gone.
DRM-Info showed it now as not supportet....

Can I install regular Android (5, 6 or 7) on my Minix Neo X8-H Plus ?

Hi all,

Since I don't see enough support on various apps and Kodi on my Android v4.4 minix, is it possible that I treat the Minix as a regular Andoid based phone and install custom ROM on it ?

I'm aware that I'll be loosing customizations made by Minix company, but it seems they have neglected that product.

Any word of advice here would be very appreciated.

Hello i have a Minix U9-H and i've found out that my minix is equipt with hdmi spoofing out of the box.......nice job minix :)

Now i can watch television with my Ziggo Go app (former Horizon Go from UPC) on my minix. Now do i also have a Ugoos UT3s and it also has a simular feature called "Hdmi Mask" but that doenst work. I think it uses a non-root level even that the android box is rooted straight out of the box. Is there maybe a APK or protocol to achieve this same feature like my U9-H and...

U9-H : SKY GO app hdmi spoofing

Hello all!

so after taking delivery of my brilliant new u9-h I got my a3 mouse fired up and got everything up to date.
Really pleased with this box!

Only problem I'm having is with the official SKY Go app.

I'm getting the -hdmi output blocked- message the same as you do on a phone or tablet when trying to put SKY go through a display.

I wondered if a spoof fix was due in a future update, or if there is another apk available to use to get around this?
I believe the u1 had similar but was...

Hi,
Please add support for a USB DVB-T dongle.
It should be a generic driver support and then we will be able to use most of the USB DVB-T dongles.

It's very useful and will make this product perfect.

Got my u9 and a3 remote a week ago and have Kodi all set up and wanted a live TV app to keep the wife happy so I have tried

PS Vue. I get the thumbnails and everything on screen but cannot click on anything with remote.

Direct TV Now. Screen will populate and I can get the guide. When I click to watch a show it loads to 75% and then I get the device combatibily screen.

You Tube TV. I cannot get past location services. Changed to high accuracy in advanced settings.

I have tried to uninstall...
