About three weeks ago I noticed that both of the Z83-4 units I have did not display the installed SD memory card (SanDisk - Ultra PLUS 64GB microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card) in Windows Explorer. The device status of the “SD Storage Class Controller” that had been connected to the memory card (“Generic SL08F SD Card”) in Windows Device Manager was
“This device cannot start (Code 10)

Screen Saver not working

Hi there, i'm using latest firmware 0013
i wanted to enable screen saver but as i can go to it's settings when i try to change option "when to enable screensaver" from "null" it goes back to display settings
Any way to change this, or any app that will do the job?

1. Calibration of air mouse: pressed Fn and Y, simultaneously, then set remote on a flat surface. Status LED lights, but never flashes 4 times as indicated in the directions.

2. Microphone: when I press mix button, Status LED lights, but never the microphone (musical note icon) LED.

IS MY A3 REMOTE DEFECTIVE?

Hope that everyone is doing great
I need some help (sorry) I have a Minix Neo X8H unfortunatly when i connect it to the tv nothing happens only the blue led lights up and a black screen on the TV with no signal.
I have tried the reset but nothing happens ?
I have red the help forum and tried to use the USB Burning tool and flash it but i get an error on 2% in red ?? Disconnects and connects like a cycle and i hear a sound on the computer as i was connecting desconnecting the...

Hi guys, this is my first time starting a new thread so forgive me if I done it wrong. Im trying to fix my friends Minix X8-H which has being working perfect up until yesterday. It switches on but nothing comes on screen. The firmware on it, I’m almost sure is the most recent available and the blue light powers on when pushed but I get no visual no matter what. I tried to hook it up to the computer and using the latest Burning tool v2.0.6.2 I tried to flash the 009 firmware I get Connect...

Just an interesting story to share.

Do not attempt the same procedures if you're not an expert.

One of my many many boards refused to go flashing after I left it aside for months.

Then one idea came to my mind: Um... the eMMC is probably corrupted/locked up for some reasons.

So I opened the case and took the board out,

then I power it up and short PIN TP13 & TP15 together with a metallic paper clip (a conductor).
(During the design stage we have reserved these pins on...

Good morning my friends,
I have purchased in past about 20 minix z64 for my office's employers and they runs very well, I'm really satisfied about minix products. Problems comes with this new NEO Z83-4. I bought 4 of them and they have a really slow performance when surfing on internet, especially on facebook the browser hangs on any page and is really impossibile at last to navigate without errors or blocks!
Searching for a solution I found that maybe memory is not shared in the right way.

I do not know how many iterations of the standard Metro launcher MINIX have had but maybe it time for a change to freshen up the GUI desktop.

Android TV for example has dynamic backgrounds depending on the Recommendations selected.
Some GUI launchers have Bing pictures of the day in the background to keep life interesting - or user selectable custom pictures.

A pretty easy change for MINIX to do would be something like this, with a nice Glass Panel mod to their existing Metro launcher.

I just bought neo u1 last week. Now i want to buy a gamepad. As i recognized lots of people have problems with gamepads in old topics. im on f013 firmware. G910, ipega 9028,g3,g4... aren't available in my country. But i can buy other ipega models like 9023 or 9025, 9021 ... . I also read somethings about set gamepad to high priority by removing airmouse in order to fix the issue. Also i read something about press X+home in order to connect the gamepad. so X button is on gamepad, where is...

How to transfer files between PC and Minix (Kodi)?

Hi,

I have a Neo X7 running Kodi 16.2 with a portable HD attached via USB.

Is there a way to transfer files from that portable HD to my Laptop/PC which is on the same network?

I have Kodi on my Laptop/PC, and I can access the library and stream videos from the Kodi on my Minix box to the Kodi on my PC, but I'm asking specifically if I can transfer the files, as opposed to just streaming them.

Best customizable launcher

Goodevening, i have a minix neo U1.

I would like to change the minix metro launcher because i can't customize it.

I would like to have something where choosing section image, edit name of the section and else. What is the best launcher working good with minix and remote neo a2?

I just tried "top tv launcher" that is nice but i also use the remote neo a2 and with this launcher not work the button theat recall the app list.

Youtube issues

I have just got my new U9-H from Gearbest. I have expected a sealed pack from them, however they have opened it up to put the U3 mouse in!! )-:
It has an issue with Youtube and when plays videos picture get broken up with squares and pixels! Reflashed the ROM as well but it appears episodically!
Can it be a hardware issue? Any suggestions?

I bought myself a U9 + air mouse remote (Amazon) to replace my old faithful, but obsolete WD Live (doesn't do HEVC). I use it to play videos on an external 1TB USB HD.

I use transcoding to Dolby, SPDIF audio output, also tried the upscaling 2-ch audio feature. Video to a Benq Projector, audio to Dolby/DTS amp.

Here's what I found annoying:

Hi all,

I was stuck on android logo (suddenly, no special operation or app install).
After read some thread I decided to use the burning tools to flash a fresh fw (009).

The box is recognize (when doing recover button+ power on) but the flash always fails at 22% with the following error:

Hi! I just bought a new Minix Neo U9-H (my first android box) like a week ago.
I start the device, conect on wi-fi and my google account and then run OTA update from apps list.
Problem is: sometimes, when i play youtube or kodi movies (local from USB stick/FAT32), screen went green. When i press back button, apps gui show like no problem. Only video playback is green. I try forcing the RGB screen space and no result. All i can do is to restart the device and everything plays fine...for a...
