NEO U9-H FW007A (20171020)

Dear all U9-H users,

We're pleased to announce the official 007A firmware for NEO U9-H (20171020)

Users with FW006 or FW007 may update to FW007A simply by our MINIX OTA app.
(OTA update window is ready)

NOTE: Adoptive storage (e.g. TF card) is not supported by our OTA, please remove any of such storages before proceeding.

Here is the change log since FW006:

1. Fixed the slow switching audio tracks bug
2. Added 1080p 23.976Hz and 4K 23.976Hz modes
3. Fixed bottom status bar problem
4. Fixed...

HBO problems after updating

Hi, after updating to lastest firmware on my minix i get this error message each time i try to watch any movie in the app: error A problem has occurred and the service may be temporarily unavailable.

Now this is frustrating cause it seemed it wasnt enough to factory reset the minix, cause then the last firmware was still there of course, so i was at the same point.

Does anyone know to solve this? Hbo only says it should support minix since the Android version is high enough.

Ok, so, I"m a bit new at this so I figured I'd ask you guys if this is common... I don't think its limited to the U1 but that is what I have.

For router maintenance I happen to go over to my logs today and I am seeing a D0S attack several times from 130.211.15.150 (sometimes it 151, 152, 153 ) it seems to point to one of my U1 devices. I assign a fixed IP to for most of my equipment and that makes it easy for me to see what device it is trying to attack.

I don't know what else to...

Hey, all

I probably know the answer from online research, but in case I've missed something I thought I'd ask.

I've just signed up for Amazon Prime (Canada). I'm wondering if there is preferred way to stream Amazon Video through the Minix NEO U1. There is an Android app, but my understanding is that Amazon treats it like a phone and delivers only in SD.

If I simply use Chrome Browser on my U1, does that get treated more like a PC and deliver higher resolution?

I've seen mention of Set Top...

hi my x8-h won't display anything I use the USB-burning tool to try and reflash it but just get a USB control error and stops after 13 seconds i cant find a way to fix it please help me

Android is version 4.2.2
MINIX XBMC V15.3

I now need to update the firmware.
Connected up to my Samsung TV without any problems.
So instead of trying to do everyuthing from the TV and stop the family viewing I thought I'd try and do all the updates on the dining room table cconnected up to a SamsungSynMaster 930 BF computer monitor.
When I boot up the box and I can see the flash of the Minix opening screen screen.
After this it just goes black with...

Hey,
I've had my box for a few months, I understand that it has Widevine and playready. But all the genuine video apps like Netflix only play sd, can someone tell me why the DRM is still important. Thanks, its a good machine

Minix Neo C - No HDMI Output MacOS High Sierra

I have been having intermittent problems ever since receiving the hub :( when I got my mac it had MacOS Sierra, and everytime I wanted to use an external monitor (Which I do every day) I have to remove the HDMI and re-insert which 9 times out of 10 would get it working

Since updating to MacOS High Sierra this has completely stopped working :(. I have a wired connection which is detected and I plug in my charger into the dock which also charges the Mac. But no HDMI

I pressume this is a driver...

Hey all... Been a awhile since I did a ROM [​IMG]

This is for the Minix NEO-X8H (not the X8H-Plus).

PLEASE NOTE:
After first boot let the box settle down for about 1 minute. Then reboot it using the power menu. Do not try to use the box without this reboot as there "can" be some stability problems.
I tried to solve this problem but it has to do with the building of the dalvik cache in /data that is built on first boot after a...

Doing refresh ROMs for all my Minix boxes. [​IMG]

This ROM is based off the Minix Lollipop ROM beta RC2 with the tweaks I did to make my U1 Super Fast ROM.

I am not going to say a lot about it but here are the features.
It's Pre-rooted but after first boot you need to run the Superuser APP as it needs to run at least once before using rooted APPS. Even though I updated the SU binary in the ROM, the SU APP still says it needs to do that....

We are releasing the official V1.66 BIOS and MCU firmware upgrade for Z83-4:

1.) Fixed the real time clock (RTC) inaccurate issue;

google Pinyin keeps crashing...

Just bought this NEO U9-h, after installing google pinyin, this input method is totally unusable, it keeps saying "google pinyin had stopped working".

The default minix input method isn't great at typing chinese though...

Anyone test the card reader on the new U9-H? Why does minix not publish specify technical details? What is the max read/write speed of that reader. I got my eye on the Samsung pro+ 64gb , but wonder if it's overkill.

Movie just stops playing in Kodi?

Hi,

if I start to play a movie in Kodi, after a couple of seconds or minutes it sometimes just stops without me doing anything. It's like I've pressed the Stop button on the remote, despite that I haven't.

What is this typically an indicator of? Has Kodi crashed? Or has it just encountered an unrecoverable error while playing the movie (e.g. codec bug?), so it has no choice but to stop the playback of the movie?

No Links To Any Movies

I've loaded up a number of addons to view movies e.g. Elysium, Genesis Reborn. Whilst the addons install ok, whilst attempting to navigate to a variety of addon folders e.g. genre, year etc, there are no movies displayed.

Any idea much appreciated.

The A3 mouse is supposed to work between units ? Mine is dedicated and does not. The top right button has different symbol but neither is interchangeable. Is this right or should work on either unit ?
