Hi,

I have a question and I hope that someone here has a good idea.

At the moment I have two different minix-boxes connected with my TV (U1 and U9-H). Whether that makes sence I dont want to discuss here ;) but at the moment and for the next months or maybe years it is a relevant setup for me.

Both boxes reacting on all infrared signales from the matching remotes . (both minix-remotes and the minix A2 lite). Only the RF signals from the A2 lite are different.
My target it to stear all...

Hello,

This box is driving me crazy. I finally managed to fix the hdd issue (it didn't mount, I had to find a windows pc to format it in NTFS, only then it would mount). It did find all my files now.

However, I just wanted to boot the box, but it doesn't boot anymore. It was always stuck at the first black screen with the android symbol and the minix logo. It would constantly reboot. I did add a lan cable for wired internet, something I didn't have before. But that shouldn't be the issue I...

Hi, i just received the minix n42c-4. I would like to know if it's possible to boot from an external SSD via USB- port. I bought the adapter but in the bios I can't select it as a boot option. Thanks

MINIX U9-H boot problem

Dear Minix team,

I purchased 5 days ago a Minix U9-H box and it worked great. Today however, when I tried to start it - the android logo showed and nothing more. After that no signal appeared but the light of the box was still blue as if the box was on. The tv did not see anything after the android logo. I tried holding the power button and also the reset button but nothing changed. It still freezes on the android logo and after that no signal.

Did not have any problems before. What can I do?

I'm hoping to use the Neo U9-H to drive interactive content via a Displax touchfoil.

Displax have confirmed the it could work with Android 6.0.1, on the Neo U9-H, provided the Kernel has bee compiled with HID multitouch support.

Can you please confirm if the Android kernel on these devices has been compiled with HID multitouch support?

Hi, I was looking for a cheap Minix box, I just need to use for browsing, shopping, Amazon etc and to play mp4 1080p video, mp3 music files from a flash drive, not high bit rate.

Maybe stream video from flash drive plugged into my router. I can do all these from my cheap Huawei mediapad t3 7 tablet but want a big screen view using a wireless mouse.

I see a lot of negative views on here about it and saw one youtube review saying it struggled with 1080p video playback, do you think this old box...

Will the X6 be any good.

(This beta firmware is for MINIX NEO X6 only)

We're releasing this beta Android Lollipop firmware based on the last SDK released by Amlogic,
because Amlogic have terminated to support this SDK, we have spent lots of time optimizing the firmware by ourselves.

Please note that beta firmware users will not receive future FOTA updates.

Minix U9-H Won't Boot

Just bought a Minix Neo U9-H and all was well (15 mins) until I did an upgrade OTA. After the upgrade the machine won't boot past the MINIX and Android symbol. Flickers and it just says "No Signal" like it is not getting a signal from the box. When I go to recovery mode none of the options get the box to boot (see attached image). Tried a new 5 V Power Supply as the original was only registering 4.5 V (although it wasn't 3000 mA like the original... only 1000 mA) but no joy. I have tried the...

Hi guys. I stayed with the Minix XBMC version for a long time thinking you were going to release a Minix Kodi version. I updated to the Official Android Kodi app and it is working very good. But I have an issue that didn't happen with the XBMC version: when I turn the volume up or down the main volume android bar is shown on screen instead of just the Kodi volume bar. The issue appears to be a matter of the Minix controllers, because it doesn't happen with the official KODI iOS remote.

Hello

Is it possible to Cast a Movie from MINIX to a Smart TV? DLNA....

I am using the box in one room and it is annoying downloading movies and then copy them to a flashdisk to play them on the other TV room so i was thinking whether i can directly cast from MINX box to the other room Smart TV

Always try the X8H-Series build first and always try to boot it first from usb/sd card, if your X8-HP gives you trouble with wifi or lan, try the X8HP-Gen1 build.

Inserted my m.2 256Gb SSD OK no problems, managed to make a disk image OK and then via the BIOS got it to boot from new drive without any problems. Ran for a couple of days OK but now it will not Boot into Windows 10. Just trying to RESET at the moment. Its seems to have been on 20% for about an hour and a half.
My question is can I just reformat my 256SSD and then carry out a complete new installation of Windows 10? If so how do I do this as I have no licence details. I believe this...

SOLVED - Stuck at Minix logo when USB devices are connected

Hello,

I just made the switch from a MXQ to the Minix u1 and so far love this device.

However, quite frequently I will get stuck at the Minix screen upon a cold boot until I physically remove my USB devices from the unit, and then pull the power and plug back in.

I've narrowed down the issue to either my USB thumb drive (for backups) or my USB dongle (for my mini wireless mouse/keyboard).

Any suggestions how this can be fixed? I'm on the latest firmware, FW009 - 20160804

YouTube TV Will Not Work

I own a Minix Neo U1 Android box.

I am interested in running YouTube TV on it. I am stalled as YouTube TV requires location permissions to be on.

For some reason I cannot get Minix to turn this on in the Android settings.

Is there a reason this is not working and how do I repair it so I can use YouTube TV?
