Am I correct in thinking that Audio is not routed through the HDMI cable on the N42C-4.

Also can someone let me have the RAM spec please. I would like to add another 4Gb.

Hi all,

Like U1, Libreelec V8 is coming with Amlogic S912 support (y)
It's Kodi 17 based and promise smoothness for everything.

It's a early beta version yet with lot of bugs or missing things but will evolve quickly.

Streaming very hit and miss with the U1

Forgive me if this type of convo is not allowed. Delete if needed.

I use both KODI and Perfect Player to stream Sports.

I get lots of buffering sometimes and sometimes its perfect.

Now you will prob think it is my internet, however the same stream works fine on my PC.
Equally it works perfectly for my Dad who has a Fire TV using the same account as me, same app to play it and is round the corner from me with the same internet provider (Virgin) so we are on the same exchange.

Iptv video not full size

Hi All

I have a u1 and u9. I also know of another person who has an u1 and we all have the same issue. In "Netv plus", an iptv app, when the video is played it is smaller than full screen and hence appears to have black border around. This is not the case when played on my samsung s5 or a lenovo tablet. I also noticed a youtube video showing same app on wetek play and it has full screen video.

I have tried all the settings i could find on my tv and box. I googled and searched forums.

Network live stream buffering/freeze on MINIX Neo U1

On my box, when i use apps with live network streams the streams play fine 15-30 seconds but after that the stream freezes and does not continue. I have a 20 Mbps connections and everything except the live streams works fine.
I require help regarding this issue.

Note: I use the same third party app on my android device and tablet everything(all streams) works fine.

Hi all,
I have an app installed that updates a kodi build I have the original apk is not on the system only the installed app. is there any way I can create an apk from the app that's installed?

Alternatively is there a way I can clone the whole system from one box to another?

XBMC Menu Headers Unreadable.

After watching something then going back to the main menu, the headers on the menu are all blocked and unreadable. The only way I can get it back to normal is to restart XBMC.

Anyone have any idea why this is happening and how to fix it?

Attached are a couple of screenshots of the issue and version I have loaded.

Minix x8 h plus stuck on minix logo.

Hi all i am having a problem with my minix a couple of days ago it froze up so i restarted the box since then it wont boot up its stuck on the minix logo if i try to go for recovery mode it will go to a black screen and stay there wont boot up and wont accept usb its just stuck i tryed hdmi cable trick but nothing i waited 10 minutes as well nothing its just stuck if i unplug it it goes back to the minix logo is there a solution please help is my box bricked ???????

I have Neo X8-H Plus. Novice and wish to upgrade the firmware and Android latest working Lollipop
and latest Kodi Krypton version that works with the Minix X8-H Plus
Help is needed for links to the latest firmware, Android Lollipop and working stable Kodi Krypton.

Faded colors on 4K material

Hi, I am getting faded (washed out))colors on almoust all my 4k material on my U1. The same movies/tv shows downloaded in 1080p quality the colors are great and have punch. Got a 4k Samsung tv whit no HDR support. Have tryed XBMC 16.3, latest Kodi 17 and MX player. The result is the same. Anyone have the same problem or any tips of settings I can try to fix this?

Edit: I have read some more...is this becouse the the u1 dont support HDR and all HDR material will be displayed this way? If i buy...

Always try the X8H-Series build first and always try to boot it first from usb/sd card, if your X8-HP gives you trouble with wifi or lan, try the X8HP-Gen1 build.

Use the tar file only if you are certain of the version working on your device.
Install-to-internal only if you're certain of the version working on your device.

If you need to activate the "multiboot", make a "boot" folder on the root of the SD card and copy...

It is possible to install windows creator update

I use a NEO Z83-4 with latest bios 1.6.
When I started the windows 10 assistant to update to the windows creator update,
after a while I received an error code:
0xc1900200


I've been googling it and found a resolution to it.
The first reserved system partition is actually too small and prevents the win update.

The idea is to enlarge it to around 500 MB instead of 100 MB.

There is a free version of a partition tool to make the space:

Hello,

This box is driving me crazy. I finally managed to fix the hdd issue (it didn't mount, I had to find a windows pc to format it in NTFS, only then it would mount). It did find all my files now.

However, I just wanted to boot the box, but it doesn't boot anymore. It was always stuck at the first black screen with the android symbol and the minix logo. It would constantly reboot. I did add a lan cable for wired internet, something I didn't have before. But that shouldn't be the issue I...

How to flash firmware image (X6, X8 series)

Dear all X6, X8/X8-Plus/X8-H/X8-H-Plus users,

To flash the image firmware, you need to:

1.) Download the .img firmware package;
2.) Extract it;
3.) Install the Windows USB flash tool, downloading from:
http://www.minixforum.com/downloads/download.php?file=USB_Burning_Tool_v2.0.6.2.rar
Choose "Install anyway" when system prompts for driver installation, then open the application, and choose English (picture 1 & 2);

Hello everyone,

I volunteer for a museum that uses Minix U1s as part of a system of digital signage. There are 6 of them, each connected by HDMI to a Panasonic TX-55DX650B TV.

Each Minix U1 is running the Spring Signage Xibo app. The app streams video, text, images etc, over wired LAN from a PC running Xibo display manager software.

My concern is that the system is powered on 24/7, while we are currently only open to the public for 18 hours per week. The Minix U1s consume very little...

Hi guys, what is the quickest way to play movies from an external hard drive ? I have vlc, MX player installed but the only way I've found so far is through es explorer which seems a bit long winded . Does anyone have any suggestions ? Thanks .
