I recently (yesterday ) acquired a Minix U9-H to replace my Raspberry Pi3, as that thing really can't handle a bunch of the content I want to throw at it.

Some things I was wondering about though:
- The play store doesn't seem to pick up on the apps that come preinstalled. Normal? I had to manually search for some apps to update them to the latest versions.

- Is there a way to get *rid* of those folders in the default launcher?

- Any other things a newbie to this device should have a...

Hey all,
The issue is every time I boot up the device or restart it the bottom portion of the screen has an options menu visible. I have to manually make it go away by pressing on the downward arrows (bottom right-side).
Before I could access that menu, on demand, but now it’s just always there on startup and it’s annoying considering this never happened before.
Also, I don’t play around with the settings so I really don’t understand why this started happening and I have the latest...

New question for the experts here: I have a 4GB external HD with some movies/music but with plenty of free space. Can I connect it to my MINIX U9 and use a torrent client to download more music/movies (no copyright infringements) ?
If so, which torrent client do you recommend for the MINIX NEO U9-H ? Would be nice if it can be controlled remotely on my Android phone or laptop.
Is there any problems with leaving the MINIX permanently switched on?

I stupidly removed Kodi and unable to find a way to reinstall it. Kodi 17.6 is obviously not compatible

Where can I download it?

I have the latest compatible XBMC but I cannot download from repositorys as the option is not there.

Hi there,

is it possible on A2 mouse settings :

When i start my A2 it should not start my airmouse.

The airmouse should only start by pushingh the point/arrow botton.

I know a trick to deactivate the airmouse by pushing at first the point/arrow botton so I can use the A2 as

normaly remote.So it must be a way to reversed?

I've a Synology DS218+, a very good and recent NAS, it allows to share folders on the net choosing the SMB min/max allowed version from v1 to v3.

SMBv1 is notoriously insecure so I've tried to switch the minimum allowed version to SMBv2 instead of SMBv1.

Unfortunately my Minix U1 with latest firmware and latest XBMC 16.3 Beta couldn't anymore access the previously configured network folders so I had to revert the min allowed version to SMBv1 on the NAS.

I've checked the Minix XBMC 16.3...

Can anyone recommend a screen recorder app that will record a couple of hours of video streaming to an external USB stick on the U9-H? I've tried AZ Recorder but nothing happens when I click on the app icon, so I guess it's not compatible with the U9-H.

I have Kodi installed on my U9-H (connected via ethernet), and the Kore remote app on my LG G5 (connected via wifi to the same LAN). The Kore app can't locate the Kodi server on my U9-H. Does anyone know if it's possible to connect a wifi-connected Kore controller to an ethernet-connected Android box like the U9-H?

Hi,

If I start to play a movie in Kodi, after a couple of seconds or minutes it sometimes just stops without me doing anything. It's like I've pressed the Stop button on the remote, despite that I haven't. So Kodi just returns to the list of movies where I started playing the movie from.

What is this typically an indicator of? Has Kodi crashed? Or has it just encountered an unrecoverable error while playing the movie (e.g. codec bug?), so it has no choice but to stop the playback of the movie?

Hello guys!
My box arrived just yesterday, is so nice but my use is so specific and if it can't do it i will trash it...

I've connected 3 external drives to the box, one is for music, one is for movies, one is for HD movies.
Wi-fi is enabled and running well!

In an other room there's my mac i use for rip music/videos. I need to transfer big files by wifi from mac to minix but i really don't know why... airdroid not runs on mac... please help me to solve this matter...

Hello, i need to do next steps(for new filmware), coz i havent sound:
X6, X8
a.) Press and hold the "Recover" button on the back of the case next to them HDMI port;
b.) While holding the "Recover" button, press the "Power" button to boot the box into recovery menu;
c.) You may release both buttons when you see the MINIX boot logo;

but its not boot in recovery mode. waiting like 10-20 mins
in normal mode it takes 10 secs

Hi Guys,
On my X8H plus I have been running version 17.3 of Krypton for quite some time. Apart from booting me out when I first run it and having to go back into it again its been running great. Can anybody tell me if updating to 17.6 is going to give me any problems.
