Hello all,

I have a number of video files that have EAC3 audio. I cannot seem to play any of them. AC3 works fine but not EAC3. Is this a bug?

Hi,

So I just purchased another minix U9 box for my dad which also came with a minix A3 remote, I've followed the pairing instructions to the letter, the led on the remote has flashed three times to indicate successful pairing but the only thing that works on this remote is the power button. I've re-paired so many times I've lost count, tried all three usb ports on the U9 and all the ports on my usb hub all with the same results, only the power button works. The usb dongle for my logitech...

A3 remote, nothing works but the power button.

How to "safe mode"?

Hello everyone,

Is there a way to start this device in 'safe mode' meaning that the regular apps are loaded but not third party apps, etc.? I had shelved it for a year because of circumstances beyond my control and now I'm trying to start using it again but can't recall my unlock pattern for applock. I locked down everything settings, installer, almost anything that could've allowed me to easily bypass the applock :sigh: I really don't want to reinstall everything because of that....

How to "safe mode"?

Doing refresh ROMs for all my Minix boxes. [​IMG]

This ROM is based off the Minix Lollipop ROM beta RC2 with the tweaks I did to make my U1 Super Fast ROM.

I am not going to say a lot about it but here are the features.
It's Pre-rooted but after first boot you need to run the Superuser APP as it needs to run at least once before using rooted APPS. Even though I updated the SU binary in the ROM, the SU APP still says it needs to do...

Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum and to Minix. I have been given a Neo X7 by a friend who is technologically challenged, he became frustrated and declared it is unusable. I would like to update the firmware and set up Kodi for local playback and Show Box for streaming then give it back to him.

Most important is stability and reliability. Could some of the more experienced folks here give me a firmware recommendation please. Specifically, should I use "Official", "Community" or "Custom"?...

Just an interesting story to share.

Do not attempt the same procedures if you're not an expert.

One of my many many boards refused to go flashing after I left it aside for months.

Then one idea came to my mind: Um... the eMMC is probably corrupted/locked up for some reasons.

So I opened the case and took the board out,

then I power it up and short PIN TP13 & TP15 together with a metallic paper clip (a conductor).
(During the design stage we have reserved these pins on...

Options bar always present at startup

Hey all,
The issue is every time I boot up the device or restart it the bottom portion of the screen has an options menu visible. I have to manually make it go away by pressing on the downward arrows (bottom right-side).
Before I could access that menu, on demand, but now it’s just always there on startup and it’s annoying considering this never happened before.
Also, I don’t play around with the settings so I really don’t understand why this started happening and I have the latest...

Lost wifi

I have lost my wifi altogether. I've installed the only drivers I can find, links found this forum, that are 2 years old, copied 4345r6nvram.txt to C:\Windows\System32. I think I've followed the correct procedures but I no longer have a functioning wifi connection.

No Audio on windows 1709 & 1803 (Installed from USB)

after tons of unsuccessful attempt to upgrade to 1709 I now installed the window 1803 directly from CD

the installation goes smooth and the os takes only 16 giga , but there is not audio at all, looks like is missing, I had the same problem when I tried to install 1709 from USB


your reinstall file is 1609 (OSWIN10RS1GDM-Z83-4-EN-US-V06-20170519.zip)

can you guys create the same as this but with and updated version of windows or help me to solve the problem?

IR Remote controls the TV

Hey guys,

I just bought a new Minix NEO U9-H and on boot I noticed the remote controls the TV, e.g - left arrow will change input (AV, HDMI) while the settings button controls the power TV's power (ON/OFF).
This renders functionality with the remote impossible.

I own a "Peerless" TV, not sure about the model.

Edit: I might add the Minix remote seemed to be synchronized with the TV from the get-go.
Even before I turned on the device for the first time.

Any suggestions ?

Where is the ethernet setting?

I can find wifi but no ethernet. My U1 can't resolve DNS. Speedtest doesn't find a provider or a server to test.

I want to change the ethernet DNS settings to use google 8.8.8.8 but can't find a setting anywhere.

I'm using the apex launcher.

No Internet

I can connect to my router by either ethernet or wifi but there is no internet.

If I take the same ethernet cable and plug it into my apple mac I get 50/25 MB/s immediately.

Where to start looking? I have ethernet set with DHCP. I have also tried static with settings that work on my mac. I have rebooted the router and the Minix box.

Hi,

I have A2 and the volume +- buttons are not working with MiBox MDZ 16 AB and the audio is gone.
Does anyone know if the A3 works with the machine MiBox MDZ 16 AB especially the volume buttons? All buttons works in Kodi?
The machine is running with Android 6.x.

hi I have a minix u9h and the storage is full and it keeps yelling at me to free up space. I have 89 mb free. I look at what is taking up so much space and es file Explore and that is taking up almost 8gb out of 11 available can someone please help me with this
