All NEO U9-H users,

We're pleased to announce the official 008 firmware for MINIX NEO U9-H (20180209)

Users with FW007A may update to FW008 via the MINIX OTA app.
(OTA update window is ready)

NOTE: Adoptive storage (e.g. TF card) is not supported by our OTA, please remove any of such storages before proceeding.

Here is the change log since FW007A

1. Fixed status bar bug
2. Fixed HDR related green screen bug
3. Fixed HDR on/off switch bug
4. Fixed Google input...

is it possible to overclock the Z83 mini?

Is it possible to enable other energy saving modes?
I only have the balanced mode and I wanted to enable the "high performance" mode or the new mode provided by Win10 "exceptional performance"

Hi,

is it possible to get Samsung DeX working with the Neo-C hub?

Samsung Galaxy S8 is listed at compatible Devices, but when i plug it in i only see screen mirrored.

Is there maybe a Firmware update for the MINIX I missed or sth.?

SD CARD READER STILL NOT WORKING

This issue has been causing havoc for months now. The sticky thread solution by Reis to install the old unsigned Win 8.1 driver worked for about 2 weeks, but now my SD card reader is back to halting / falling asleep / going away mid-use and causing Google Drive and OneDrive (both stored on the SD card) to halt and crashes windows explorer, forcing me to eject the SD card, reboot the computer and tell both cloud services where the missing folders are.

Bottom line: I can't continue to spend...

We are releasing the official V1.66 BIOS and MCU firmware upgrade for Z83-4:

1.) Fixed the real time clock (RTC) inaccurate issue;

Kodi/Half Screen

I was watching some content in Kodi. When I stop the content and exit out of Kodi all of the sudden my screen is split horizontally. I literally have to reboot my U9H in order to get the full screen back.

Has anyone seen this?

Hi @ all,

to describe my problem i have to tell you something about my technical environment first.
I use beside some receivers and concoles a minix U1 and a minix U9. All devices are connected on a LG TV via an pioneer LX-59 AVR.
All devices working well in this constellation - so the U1 does it as well - except the U9.

Hi, we recently purchased a NEO Z83-4 Pro. I wanted to see if there was a BIOS update. I found on the forums here that the newest version, V1.7 is available and I downloaded it, and flashed it. Everything went fine, but now I think the model is showing wrong in "msinfo32.exe". It shows now as "Z83-4" and not "Z83-4 Pro". My understanding is the hardware is the same for the two models but they come preloaded with a different edition of Windows 10, the Z83-Pro having...

The WinSxS folder gets too big. Which is, C:\Windows\WinSxS

Clean it up with these commands:

hi to all for some reason my unit just stopped working.... when I power on the unit; I can see usual Minix logo... then a few seconds screen will black out and then no video.... it was working the night before this... and it was powered down normally.... any help or advice is appreciated....

Scan New Content - no longer gets movie/TV series info

Hi, need help pls. Using latest FW and XBMC 16.3 on my U1, films in NAS (2 Red drives, 2 USB drives).

Doing a 'Scan For Content' for newer vids (movies or TV series) no longer gets information (ie. fanart, etc) for the new vids. All are still set as before (Movies-IMDB, and TV Series). Tried to remove Movies as source in content, and then back again to Movies to refresh, but still doesn't get new content. Just scans briefly, then says at the top 'Compressing Database' then returns.

Firmware Recommendation

Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum and to Minix. I have been given a Neo X7 by a friend who is technologically challenged, he became frustrated and declared it is unusable. I would like to update the firmware and set up Kodi for local playback and Show Box for streaming then give it back to him.

Most important is stability and reliability. Could some of the more experienced folks here give me a firmware recommendation please. Specifically, should I use "Official", "Community" or "Custom"?...

Neo X7 deteriorating

By mistake, I applied the 250 update again to my X7. Before that, the box was working well. After that I've been experiencing lots of problems in several aspects, there is a lot of flickering on my tv, the wifi sometimes responds very slow it is the same for an ethernet connection, most of the apps when installing or upgrading say "this app may not be optimized for this device".
