Issues with the U9

Hi guys,

Unfortunately I'm experiencing major issues with my U9 over the last few weeks.
The device lags occaisionally, the VLC player crashes, MX Player as well, when I try to stream a torrent via AceStream. Also Kodi loads, but no once I add Exodus - the circle starts rotating and that's it...nothing happens for more than 30mins.
I did a factory reset, reintalled Kodi - nothing. Any suggestions what I shall do?

Minix U1 constantly crashing after updating to FW012

Dear Support,

My Minix U1 was working flawlessly on the FW011 firmware.

I updated to FW012 and since then, any App I use just crashes after a few minutes and goes back to the Home screen. The Minix does not restart, I just end up at the Home screen and have to relaunch whatever App I was using as if it hadn't been running.

First I noticed this in XBMC Minix 16.3. It has made watching anything impossible because it happens every 2-5 minutes forcing me to relaunch XBMC Minix 16.3

Hi all

I`m new here
i have a little Question on MINIX NEO Z83-4

I would love to know if I can connect 2 display screen to this wonderful device?
One via the HDMI port
And one via the DP port

that can work?

I bought MINI DP Adapter to DVI
and i tried to connect it but its not work
only the HDMI Source was detected

so i searched on the forum

Windows 8 or 10 install?

Is it possible to install a version of windows on the Neo U1? There is a few reasons I want to install windows on this device but mostly Moonlight has way to much latency streaming from my pcs and I am on a wired gigabit network. Also wouldnt mind installing a free version plex on this box. If there is a windows version I can install I would love to know, thank you.

(This beta firmware is NOT for X8, X8 PLUS or X8-H)

We're releasing this beta Android Lollipop firmware based on the last SDK released by Amlogic,
because Amlogic have terminated to support this SDK, we have spent lots of time optimizing the firmware by ourselves.

SD Card Problem

About three weeks ago I noticed that both of the Z83-4 units I have did not display the installed SD memory card (SanDisk - Ultra PLUS 64GB microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card) in Windows Explorer. The device status of the “SD Storage Class Controller” that had been connected to the memory card (“Generic SL08F SD Card”) in Windows Device Manager was
“This device cannot start (Code 10)

Miracast on U9-H with Samsung S7 does not work

Hi
I have Minix U9-H connected to vodafone station at 5ghz, trying to connect with my S7 with Android 7 (connected to the same wi-fi network), I was just able to connect just once, than no more, tryed to restart Minix and S7 without success.
Any suggestion / help to understand way S7 does not connect to Minix ?

Will the Z64-A receive a Lollipop update

After talking with John I can let you all know that unfortunately the answer is no.

It is for the same reason as the X8, X8 Plus and X8-H.
Intel like AMLogic with the X8s do not support newer firmware revisions so it is technically impossible for MINIX to update it to lollipop and beyond.

You may notice that the Z83-4 did not release with Android, there are a couple reasons for that. Intel has dropped it's support for Android altogether and the Z64-A was not a very big seller for MINIX.

U9-H's video quality with Yamaha 5,1 receiver

i am having issues with the U9 i just purchased hopefully an easy fix.

2 main problems
1st problem - audio dropping out every few minutes.

2nd problem - Bad visual quality, not sharp almost dvd like quality, slightly darker ( i could live with this not too much of an issue ), and banding.

my receiver is a Yamaha 5.1 ch rx-v 467 model.
TV is 55" 4k LG OLED B6.
HDMI cables i have used are cheap ones and $100 monster brand cable, (same audio drops).
All cables run thru my...

The Virgin TV Anywhere App isn't working due to HDMI being plugged in.

Has anyone had any joy with this app or found a workaround?

Will HDMI spoofing in the v5 firmware work?

Dear Z64 users,

Here is our official BIOS conversion files:

Instructions are included inside of the package: readme.txt

Procedures, which are very simple:

1. Choose the folder you need to perform the BIOS change
(Andriod to Windows [this one should be wanted by most of you], OR Windows to Android [very rare I believe])

2. Copy all 4 files inside the selected folder to the root directory of your USB stick

minix team dont support but I give path to openelec for minix amalogic.
only need your wifi chip and kernel config for minix. may be modifiy for s812 and s802 for minix.
all based same. s806 android device use s812 chip
first find to your android kernel config. that identifiy used all chip for minix x8-h-plus
su
cat /proc/config.gz > /sdcard/config.gz
chmod 777 /sdcard/config.gz
unpack config.gz
later merge your config to armlinux config. add your driver for kernel source. wifi binary fw...

Help NEO X8-H Plus box getting hot and locking up

I am having a problem with my NEO X8-H Plus box which is getting hot and locking up! It tends to happen when I use Kodi. I usually leave to box in standby when I am not using it and was wondering if that could be part of the problem since the box design doesn't seem to have much by way of ventilation? Anyway hoping that perhaps someone may be able to help shed some light on whats going on and suggest a possible solution to the problem?
