I am getting smaller display at the top left corner after recent software update.
I have replaced with two new good quality HDMI cables with no joy,I have minix X8 H plus which has been tested with the same HDMI cable and it was ok but my new minix U9H display on LG TV showing a smaller display at the left top corner after recent software update which automatically downloaded. I did not have any SD card or hard drive attached during update.
The only fix is to reboot the box and leave my TV on...

Basic questions MINI NEO U9-H

Basic questions:
I've been hacking the device and seen it seemingly ok, but for me personal use to certain things I just did not find.
I need it to be able to play movie files through the Network, with a Synologic server, which plays in AV with passthrough (DTS, DD 5.1, DTS-HD, etc), files like:
ISO
AC3
Mkv 4K dts
Mkv 4k dts-hd
Mkv 4k dd
Mkv 4k dd-hd
Mkv 4kUltraHD -hevc-265> 60GB
etc...
Problems:
1) Players that are by default,
* FileBrowser does not browse the NAS...

Minix Neo U9 or U1?

Hi, I'm planning to buy a minix device.
Minix neo U1 with A2 remote or
Minix neo U9 with A3 remote.
My main purpose is to watch movies with 5.1 sound in my Home Theater.
Cost of U9 is slightly higher than U1.
So, I request somebody please tell me what are the advantage of U9 over U1.

(This beta firmware is NOT for X8, X8 PLUS or X8-H)

We're releasing this beta Android Lollipop firmware based on the last SDK released by Amlogic,
because Amlogic have terminated to support this SDK, we have spent lots of time optimizing the firmware by ourselves.

Please note that beta firmware users will not receive future FOTA updates.

Problem with audio passthrough since recent update

Hello,

Really enjoying my U1. Audio passthrough for 7.1 worked great until I just updated to U1 MY47V.20170227. All stereo videos play well in XBMC 16.3 with good sound. 5.1 and 7.1 video plays well in XBMC 16.3 except sometimes sound is muted. It appears to happen always with .mkv files but some MP3 files will work intermittently. At times the MP3 files will play then make an awful screeching sound.

Anyone have the same experience? Anyone have any advice?

Linux compatibility [IS WORKING]

Hi everyone,
I bought a Lenovo Yoga 900 with USB-C port and I'm considering buying the NEO C to connect my external monitor.
I am using Linux though and couldn't find any information if this adapter can be used in Linux and if it needs custom drivers or the standard ones provided by the kernel are sufficient.
Could someone maybe provide some information on this?

Based on the Reviews and this forum i purchased a neo u1 today. Picked it up from the suppliers and started download ing apps.
My primary use is in car navigation using external usb gps receiver.

However all apps i downloaded to connect to the gps crash or fail.

This is not what I expected from a minix device. So repackaged the stuff and send back to supplier.
No more minix. Bye.

Hello All,

just got my minix box today and loaded up DTV Now and PS VUE-I'd like to go with DTV NOW, as its cheaper for more channels, but doesn't work on this or my Shield. Posted my DTV NOW issues in another thread heere.
But to the PS Vue problem. I get the load screen where it says to activate prior to signing in...not sure what to do next?

IR Extender

Hi, I'd like to intall my Minix Neo X6 behind my TV, so it is completly hidden. I use the IR remote, therefore I nedd some way to have it receive the signal. Is there a way to connect an IR receiver, maybe in the headphone port? If so, does it need any app installed in order to work? Thanks

minix team dont support but I give path to openelec for minix amalogic.
only need your wifi chip and kernel config for minix. may be modifiy for s812 and s802 for minix.
all based same. s806 android device use s812 chip
first find to your android kernel config. that identifiy used all chip for minix x8-h-plus
su
cat /proc/config.gz > /sdcard/config.gz
chmod 777 /sdcard/config.gz
unpack config.gz
later merge your config to armlinux config. add your driver for kernel source. wifi binary fw...

XBMC For MINI X has stopped

Hello ,
My U9-H has recently been upgraded to FW005.
SPMC 16.7 , and KODI 17.3 work great with various build (Mammoth and Supremacy Black) , but XBMC keeps booting out saying "unfortunately,XBMC for MINI X has stopped"
FW004 had no issues with XBMC(for minix V16.3)
I installed xbmc from minix forum download because U9-H does not come with xbmc.
I like the ability to run different builds at the same time , and was wondering if any other members have the same issue with XBMC on the U9-H...

Sonos 5.1 not working Minix Neo U9-H

I have a Minix Neo U9-H and a Sonos Playbar, Sub and 2 rear Play 1's. The Minix is connected to the router with a Lan cable, to the TV via HDMI and the TV is connected to the Sonos Playbar via optical cable. I have tried what I believe to be every setup option in the Android setting as well as the Kodi system/audio settings, but in all cases, no sound out of the rear speakers. When I play TV without the Minix, the rear speakers do work. Current settings are:

Minix - NEO-U9-H
Version 6.0.1...

HBO Spain not working

The page in app displays ok but whenever I want to play any video turns up a message saying "An error ocurred, the service might be temporary unavailable".

In my old Minix X8-H worked fine. Its not app fault because is working in other device.
Any idea?

Official firmware 009 has been released, you may now update from firmware 008 via MINIX OTA.

Cannot update display adapter

I used a fresh install of windows latest 1703 build with no drivers and am having some issues. I downloaded the driver package that ken linked and manually installed most of the drivers already but the display drivers were not included in the package because windows was suppose to install them or something. Anyway, the display adapter does not show up in device manager at all. When I right click on the desktop and go through display settings to look at the display adapter properties, it just...
